We've got Jack Aitchison on a free and I think it's a little early to start calling him a "flop". At least give the kid a fair chance.

I agree that we need players who are going to improve the side immediately but that doesn't mean we shouldn't still be looking at getting players in who can potentially improve the side in 6 - 12 months. We can do both and if the club wants to continue progressing then it needs to do both.

Also why are you dissing Kyle Joseph , you have listed him as a costly flop before he has even signed if indeed he does sign . Just out of interest , did you write Callum Brittain off being has he was costing us money & was coming from a lower division one club ? , if so , why ?

I agree. Striker seems to be the one position we struggle to get decent signings for. Apart from Woodrow there’s been no one decent since Winnall 5/6 years ago.

 

Celtic won’t be offering anything like that. What’s the average wage of their u23s?

Plus of course Brown and Moore. However the income from those two hasn't been reinvested on better quality replacements in my opinion.

And yet they have a young lad in Dembele who holds all sorts of records including a debut at 15 years old, leaving in Summer on £800 a week.
That 18k includes 2 players on £72k and £59k respective take them out the average plummets significantly. Out of a 63 man squad only 18 are on more than £10K a week.
If I was Joseph I’d be looking hard first.
