The dense one has 50 times more ability than Dawson but his attitude stinks worse than a cabbage fart. That's the reason why he will be n the Conference South in the next few years.

I'm not discussing Luke Steele with you. There's really no point. He makes mistakes, of course he does. The best keepers I've ever seen (Schmeichel, Seaman, Van Der Saar, Zenga etc) all made mistakes.

I've seen Hassell in two games this season, at Leeds and against Bolton. In both he was our best player whilst on the field of play. I'm sure you'll bring up a random 21's fixture or summat to counter that, but again, I'm not discussing this further with you as you're unwilling to take other peoples points on board. Futile and idiotic of me to even be typing this I suppose.

Flitcroft signed players he thought would do what he thought was required. As do all managers. He and Keith did sign a lot of 'friends' but so do other managers. I don't for one minute believe he signed them because he thought they were nice. And anyway, I didn't say Jim was nice. I said he's a sound bloke. Based on spending time in his company, not reading his tweets or whatever.

I'm off to bed now so I'll let others have their view on this topic. Toodle pip, pal.

That is what annoys me the most, the total waste of talent is a crime.

Come on Jimbob, you don't know me from Adam so its not fair to slate me a so called supporter who gets pleasure from us suffering.

I love Barnsley, I've renewed my ST along with my whole family for next year, that will be my 20th ST on the bounce, I've never bood my team, or ever left a game early, always clap the players off win, lose or draw and I go to as many away games as I can afford. I don't believe we will stay up, that dosn't mean I don't want us to stay up. I belive next season will consist of a lot of changes and I fear that will make next season difficult, that doesn't mean I won't be cheering us on and hoping we do well. I'm just being realistic and honest.

Don't get me wrong, looking at our average attendances we should be one of the better teams in L1 and I fully expect us to be having a go, but I think next season will be tougher than a second or third season in L1 simply due to all the changes that have to be made and for that reason I won't be expecting promotion in 14/15.

Steele: Should be very good at League 1 level if he chooses to stick around. I agree with you that he was at fault for both at Derby that he should have saved. I will counter that though by saying since Mark Crossley has been here he's played some of his best games of the season. He's showing much more confidence too.

Hassell: I'd keep him for next season and not out of respect for what he's achieved with us. I wouldn't have him in the back four though. He's 34 later this year and various managers haven't gave him a run in the team so he picks up injuries easier these days and won't be as quick as he was in his prime. No point having him at right back and some left winger in his early 20s is outpacing him. He'd make a good holding midfielder though in the Dawson role if he was to be a first team regular (injuries permiting) next season.

JOB: I hope we offer him a contract and he accepts. It's a shame his obvious workrate doesn't get him more goals because he deserves them. Two years ago he signed his two year extension almost straight away at the end of the season. Others waited ages obviously looking for better offers. Maybe some will say he knew he wouldn't get a better offer elsewhere, but maybe he's just settled here, loves the club and wanted to stay? It wouldn't be a surprise if he was still here in six years time for a testimonial. Seems to have embraced the town.

maybe peoples opinions are down to how we struggled last time we went down but the circumstances are very different now itv digital ****** us last time, were run soundly now I honestly think we should have a chance for top 2 we'll prob end up in play offs but theres no reason to think were gonna struggle next year. regardless of whether danny managed to get previous clubs out of league 1 he has a proven track record of doing well in the division so I would fully trust him to get a competitive team together during the summer should we go down.

anyway were gonna smash boro and qr next two games and stay up so forget all this league 1 talk!
