I'm in two minds about this one. Ok, she was an obnoxious devisive individual who was only part of the human race through marriage, but we could have an annual celebration of her departure with ceremonial pissing on her grave or something...
You know this hasn't a chance in making it through. It's a 2nd reading stage in the House of Commons. Only another 10 stages to go. 2nd hearing is on Jan 17th, probably why this topic has come up again. http://services.parliament.uk/bills/2013-14/margaretthatcherday.html So don't forget to 'SHARE' / 'LIKE' / 'VOTE' and Pass on to all your friends in your friends list - In true Facebook chain letter stylee
I was pushing this petition on that Facebook yesterday, but I've had a change of heart. Bring it on - let's have a day where members of every organisation, every union, every level of society that she ****** over can gather together to let the rest of the world know what her "achievements" really look like. I'm calling it DingDong Day.
I would have been all for an extra day off work regardless of what it's called but seeing as they are just naming an existing bank holiday after the cow I am in full support of this petition.
I've signed, but I don't agree about forgetting her, she should be remembered forever for what she did and as a warning to future generations that, whatever front they portray, she was the true face of the tory party. EVIL, ARROGANT, LYING enemies of the ordinary people of this country.
Signed it, if they want to have a thatcher day they should have it on the day she past away, a bank holiday mourned in some parts but celebrated in most.
