    I thought Lalkovic was a work in progress exhibiting some talent but not finished article. I was very surprised that Johnson didn't want to work and develop him as it seemed with coaching he could kick on. Dean Smith has keenly demonstrated this.

    At the Q&A last week Ben said to me, and all those attending, that Ryan Williams passed the medical and was over the injury from last season when he signed. Not match fit, he hadn't played in months, but no longer injured. He then did his groin in training. Ben said it was the very next day, but I didn't take that literally. The discussion had got a bit heated and he was simply stressing the point that it was very soon after he signed. He then said, just as Williams recovered from that injury, the other side of his groin went. That's what he told us.
