Okay - in 'black & white':

''Which is more important to BFC as a 3rd division club with a ground capacity of 23k & an average attandance of 8k:
    (1) Increase the capacity
    or
    (2) Sort out the infrastructure, ticketing shambles & none existent marketing strategy''

Where does that state they are mutually exclusive?
It asks 'which is the most important?'.
I may brush my teeth & use a mouthwash - but I may also deem that brushing is the most important.

And I've no idea why you posted your 'Watcher' thingy - unless you are still trying to 'win'.

    Good luck with that.

    I wouldn't increase capacity either.

I was merely pointing out that the fact that we need a better marketing programme is not a reason to hold off from doing so.

I thought I'd have a go at persuading the "BBSer least likely to admit to being wrong" that his logic is faulty.

I'm off out to plait some fog now.

    It doesn't. you're right obviously.

You were making an entirely different point.

It's not faulty logic though is it. It just relates to how people read between the lines.

If I was a director at BFC with an ounce of business acumen, I'd be going feckcing spare at reports of improving facilities unless I'd been told we were legally obliged to.

It doesn't matter how you look at it, unless it's an obligation and money can't be invested elsewhere, it's a disaster waiting to happen.

The majority of businesses in the world go broke when they try to expand before they're ready. Football is no exception, but the industry suffers more because half the people don't actually have a clue how to run a business because they falsely believe that their customers will never go away.

    Right then.

''I thought I'd have a go at persuading the "BBSer least likely to admit to being wrong" that his logic is faulty.''

    That's your problem.
I'm not trying to say I'm right or wrong.
    It's my opinion.
I think that one thing is more important than the other.
You then make it into something entirely different in an attempt to show that you can belittle at will.

    Right, wrong, opinion, clumsy.

I agree, it's not faulty logic........

....to say we shouldn't increase capacity. As I said I don't see why we'd want to.

It IS faulty logic to say we shouldn't increase capacity because we should be developing a better marketing programme as if we can only do one or the other, which, despite his increasingly agitated protestations is what TFP was saying.

It can't be an obligation though because the land doesn't belong to BFC. The land belongs to Oakwell Community Assets Limited.
The land will be sold and the revenue divided between Patrick Cryne and the council. From the statements made by BFC it would appear that Cryne has decided to spend some/all of the revenue on development of the ground. It's his choice after all.

As far as I know the West stand is costing the club a lot of money in running expenses. This I believe is due to things such as asbestos, so maybe building a new West Stand would save us a lot of money in the future

    Kinell fire.

    No.
I didn't mean ''which shall we do?''.
    I was being sarcastic FFS.

Again - I asked ''Which is the most important?''.
Sorry I confused you with a second concept.

Do you think I give a toss about those Blogscars?

    Why did you ask that?

    And yes, I do.

    RE: Kinell fire.

Tut. Anyone would think that TFP's deliberately provocative posts (as in DELIBERATE, as opposed to being naturally unpleasant) had any bearing on the Blogscars.

One sure way to highlight one's own lack of intelligence is to underestimate the intelligence of others.

    Which is your opinion ...

... good luck with that too.

    (1) I asked you ''which was the most important?''.
    (2) You skewed that into some kind of statement that I'd claimed that the two were mutually exclusive.
    (3) You then ask me when I'm going to admit that I'm wrong.

It's going to be a long wait spadger.

    Read carefully.

    Why

    did

    you

    say

    that?

    The solution would be...

...for Windy and the Full Ponty to go outside and sort it out like men.

    Why did I ask ...

... ''do you think I give a toss about the Blogscar thingys''?

Because you kept posting the 'results'.
Which seems to signify that you think they either mean something to me - or that they prove some kind of point.

Why are you asking me why I asked you why?

    Do try to keep up.

No, not that. But while we're on the subject the blogscars seemed awfully significant to you when you were repeatedly pointing out to Roundsman how badly he'd fared in them.

Maybe you didn't mean that either. Or this. Yes, you're right.
