    Good old Turvey.

Can't believe that's the first time in my 27 seasons that I've seen us win 5-0 at home.

    Football eh? Funny old game.

And if I remember the Hull game well, Billy Whitehurst came on as a second half sub for Hull City. I grew up in Thurnscoe and went to school with Billy's brother and often met up for drinks with them. It was always best to keep on the good side of that family lol

Somewhere on the great internet is an interview with Billy Whitehurst about his time at Hull. You will not believe (or you probably will) what he got upto with his team-mates. He has a special little nickname for Andy Payton too.

Although he didn't score that evening, Glavin was at his imperious best. He laid on one of Aylott's goals by wrong footing Hull's entire back line and then clipping the ball over for big Trev to head home in front of the Ponty End.

Weird that we have won 5-0 away from home more often than at home over the last 25 years

Aye! Reyt boy. Just watched a couple more, one where Vinnie Jones names him straight off as toughest opponent. Says 'think he was a bare knuckle fighter or something'.
