Weren't having a pop if that's the way it came across. Grateful for the info as I'm one of those wiart Player.
Forwards the key area? For a club with no left back, only kids at right back, only 2 proper centre backs come Sunday morning and no defensive midfielders who will get stuck in.
Fit forwards are Lita (past it) Hemmings (not sure he has it) and untried Oates of course we need 1/2.
Last January was a different situation. He'd been here a week or summat. Nearly every lad we recruited was **** in the main, or unfit/injured. Not pretending he recruited well. But his record in that department over the years is pretty good and his reputation for developing youngsters even more reputable. I'm confident in his ability to find the right lads. He did well in the summer. Hourihane, Berry, Davies and Winnall all decent acquisitions. Cole and Ramage decent loanees. Got a few duds, couple yet to shine too, may never happen, but I'd accept a 50% success rate. We're Barnsley, we're not flush with coin and unable to buy nailed on greats.
In the first couple of matches after we signed him? I thought he looked brilliant. It was only after the bizarre change to one up top and two stuck to the corner flags that he looked completely lost, as did pretty much every other player on the pitch
We've looked poor since Williams and Winnall were injured. Every thing Sam was hitting was going in. Williams brought an energy to midfield. Trotta has made no impact at all. Danny's words. I agree.
Played ok against Burton been impressively ***** since then lacks effort has great ideas but not the ability to pull off his attempts at intricate passing. I would rather we had played Oates.
