We got to appoint our 2 “quality” coaches this year based on the Brexit rules, I’d say we can pretty much appoint anyone from a Professional football club in Europe based on that.
As I say our choices are limited not barred. We got two who we were allowed under the new rules albeit Schopp couldn’t bring his own coaches . Schopp probably wasn’t the first choice imo and I’d be amazed if even Conway admitted he was .
I really like Ted Lasso though. And I'm enjoying watching Season #3 at Elland Road - next episode tomorrow. Let's not have Season #4 at Oakwell.
I’ve got a feeling from what the new board have said that they want to get us fans back on side so wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t go for an English/British manager this time but time will tell
No way would he come here. Always said that. And even if he was wavering now isn’t the time Colin on the other hand….
It still astounds me that people think a 73 year old man, who hasn't done anything of note in the game for 4 years, and is retired, is the answer.
Be a good move for one season I reckon. Give the Ponte a chance to crank up Colin W.ankers red an d white army
The appointment is the first big opportunity to show their intentions with the playing side of things. I don't know whether they'll go for experience, ala Warnock, McCarthy, Warburton, Mowbray, JFH, Ainsworth, Robinson (Oxford). Or, perhaps, a younger, successful bloke such as Duff at Cheltenham, or Taylor at Exeter. Then again, an internal promotion, or bringing in someone from maybe a Premier League club's Academy might be considered.
I can't see anything other than Warnock. After what he said recently about coming here, he said never say never about not returning for one last job, he has an affinity with our club . I'm sure Jean will be on the phone. The new board need something big after last season.
