But time equates to games and with Murray in charge yet more points lost. New man is again going to be faced with a mountain to climb.

That may well be the case. I think bringing in a few quality players will be as key as the manager. Would Stendel have done as well as Struber if he had Solbauer & Ludwig? If they are overseas managers they are unlikely to be aware of UK based players, which is all we can look at now until the next window.

Graham Alexander has just been sacked by Salford, bizarrely; potential for us?

Bizarre one that. Scholes in as interim head coach as well.

Undefeated start to the season. Money saving exercise and they just write this season off as mid-table and nothing more?

Why 3 of the last 5 have been poached for better jobs - if I was an out of work manager or managing a small lower league club Id give it some serious thought

Was mainly referring to Struber's comments about the club's ambition, which could put people off. Any coach overseas will need some convincing that they're not putting themselves into a losing battle before uprooting to move here, particularly in current climate of travel restrictions etc... Might be different for coaches that are already in the country but I suspect we'll be looking into European coaches first.

Pompey fans loved him, he did well for them but not forgetting he was playing at a level below in lg1, went back to Millwall, played a few games them subsequently dropped and is now still only on the fringes of being on the weekly team sheet, I think he would do much better for pompey than us simply because he's playing against lg1 teams

To be fair, we will want a coach proficient in Microsoft Office: Powerpoint, Excel (spreadsheets) etc.

In all seriousness, I don't think we've got time to mess about with Murray again. It'd been ideal to get someone in this week to give them a full week with the team. But I appreciate things take time, it's just frustrating as we knew for ages GS was leaving.

Would agree. but most managers have been poached for varying degrees of success. Except Morais. Hecky successful spell. Stendel successful spell. Struber successful spell. Only way they slip under the radar is if they’re bang average. But If as in Morais case poor. Ain’t going anywhere, bar the sack.
    Applies to most teams.
Hecky- went days after signing a new contract. ( vast amounts of more money than the club would pay him, strange one)
Stendel- being poached and upsetting the board by appearing to seek a move,
Struber.-Red bull met the get out clause. ( which is rife by the way) not just a Barnsley phenomenon.
Players demanding same. But I believe getting a job now more important than an escape clause.
Not defending anyone. Just how I see it.
Getting shut of Woodrow without someone in place already would be lunacy for me. Given I believe he has 2yrs on his contract left. Only way I’d let him go without a replacement in place, is if he’s grown disillusioned. For that I blame Struber in the main for messing about with the formation trying to accommodate him. Rather than work round him.

I have met all of them before. Well I say met them, I just saw all their names in the track and trace book at the last restaurant I went to.

    Cardiff value him at £5million
    We value him at £1.5million.

    Is that what he means?

I'm agreeing with you on all that. If coaches are rubbish, they'll get the boot. If they're decent they'll get poached or ask for more transfer money and get disillusioned. Just how it is now. Re Woodrow, if he is disillusioned get him to re-focus with new coach and kick on. If he goes we're well and truly in the brown stuff as I can't see where a 15 goal a season Championship striker is coming from

Replaced by Paul Scholes who's been full of negative press now for the past 18 months or so.
