I have said it several times that we seem to organize and act based on the end of the transfer window not the season start. I, in fact im sure most people understand that the transfer market is very difficult to navigate, timings have multiple factors and we have competition. However we also know when the season starts, what budgets we have and what players we need. It disappoints me that we rarely have a settled squad ready to start a season these days. Many other clubs can do it.

And many others can't or don't. As many have said before, it ain't just us. It ain't.

Has any team actually completed all their transfer activity yet?

I think deadline day will answer that one. Some clubs will make attempts and if fail. Stick with what they've got.
Just hope we dont have another Ollie McBurnie situation.
Wasnt aware he's signed for Las Palmas btw.

Not many have one fit senior striker available though.

Think the fact that Clarke and Sormaz have very differing views on what we need doesn’t help.

Clarke will be looking at what is required while Sormaz will be looking at prices and sell on value..

If we still want and are struggling to land 2 strikers and a 10.. then why not pooled the money together and just try for one decent striker?..
Then go with Cosgrove Watters Marsh and A Newbie

Have we forgot the fact that we're a 3 rd division side.
Players will want to play at a higher level for sure.

Doesn't sound that way way with Darrells interview. He doesn't want anybody he wants players to improve the team and behind the scene they're working to the "max" to make it happen.Lets not cloud things when the coach is saying something entirely different.

I don’t think these players really want to sign for Barnsley we are a last resort if nowt else happens for them.

But many on here know DCs state of mind better than he does. He was conned into coming here; he is pissed off at the way the club is run, and will be off at the first chance.

Rotherham? They signed 50% of all the players Chelsea haven't managed to hoover up. Doesn't seem to be working for them though.
