I thought Hourihane should still be the first name on the team sheet, obviously doesn't look that way, might turn out to be a poor signing in hindsight.

Think he'll play when needed. He'll be a massive boost on the training ground & in the dressing room though, whether he's playing or not.

I wouldn't go that far, but brilliant in comparison to the players around him.
The game passed him by at Lincoln

Ollie Norwood turned us down to go to Blackpool .
Never ever reached the heights imo

Think fans were hoodwinked a bit by the signing of Hourihane. It doesn’t look like he’s going to play much at all which is disappointing. Tuesday night marshalling the youngsters would have been an ideal game for him. Looks like he’s here to hone his coaching skills and can see him being a candidate when we next need a head coach.

Yes I agree mate I thought he was extremely poor. Mind you, I also think Phillips had his worst ever game for us at the side of him. Somehow, connell managed to get a rating of 7.1 on flashscores which shocked me, but I suppose that takes into consideration his positioning, marking etc. But was really poor in my opinion. But I do think when fully fit and firing hes without doubt one of the best midfielders in the league

He's never played for Blackpool and there's no chance we'd have ever been able to afford him.

Are you thinking of Ollie Norburn?

I doubt he's going to be playing much at all, apart from the odd cameo at the end of games. Even at this level if you're not getting game time you're going to be way off the pace.

Think we were linked with Norwood when he joined Huddersfield instead

I remember he was on his way to oakwell to sign and was intercepted by Huddersfield.

Maybe he's here to get his feet under table coaching wise and **** off. No interest in Barnsley F.C just furthering his career. That's the only thing that explains why he isn't playing. Clarke seems a decent coach that wants to play his strongest 11. At the minute if the balance is right you'd say Hourihane is the best dead ball and most experienced player at the club.

Can't he combine the role. Unless his heart isn't in it?

How can someone still on the playing staff pick and choose when he plays. He's underneath Clarke at end of the day?

It will be Clarke's choice. As much as I love Conor, and I'd walk over glass to see him play 30 games this year and be at his best, we all saw that little cameo against Mansfield. He was a million miles off the pace.
