    exactly my point in the chron page 4 thread

    might have weeks of holidays but when you work all of your own time at nights and weekends you get nothing in return. how many other professionals would give up their spare time without wanting double pay. just becaus your home at the same time as other workers doesnt mean the work stops.</p>

    I agree with your point about teachers.
    But its a job for life.
    And when people are giving up being university lecturers (and I know several) to become teachers, then there is something wrong

    Why are the little feckers so arrogant in the first place. Surely its as a result of their own failing that the class talks back and so on.

    And I rest my case about spending most of their time 'planning classes' 'marking' and so on - not quite work is it ?

    the time after work which is never spare because it is still used for work

    oh and if you had 30 teenagers in your own home would you be able to stop them running riot

    i suppose you'd take the blame if everything didnt got o plan, you try controlling that many people and not having a twit in the class.
