Lol even patrick thinks hes not up to the job otherwise the club would have said no way just like they did with ritchie when wednesday came knocking all those years ago....the up turn in form is down to the ginger nija.....and a few others having a impact in training..the sooner he goes the better all round...looks very much like the good Dr and a few of us were right the only reason he kept his job durring the loosing streak boiled down to hard cash and how much his compo would have cost us......bobbys red and white army anybody...lol.....watch this space....lol
So is Bobby Hassel taking 1st team training, picking the team and in the dugout on matchdays, or does he just tell Johnson and Wright what to do ?
Can't see it happening but nothing surprises about the wibbly wobbly world of football. Lee's a great bloke but I'm sure either externally or internally he could be replaced much more easily than Winnall could.
He wasn't favourite until the day he signed and by then everyone knew he was signing. The day before he was 14/1. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
He was favourite with SkyBet. He was always there, one of the leading names, with every bookie, from day one. It caused amazement on here at the time. None of us seemed to understand why he was getting mentioned. You've obviously remembered it differently. Fair enough. But aye, I think all bookies odds should be taken as just that - odds. It doesn't guarantee owt. But by the same token, it's definitely an indicator of sorts, and certainly means something. Hence me sharing the link, mate.
Well, if there is any truth in this whatsoever, I'd fully expect a bloke who talks about "decency", to knock it back. I'd expect him to repay the faith that has been shown in him by Patrick Cryne, when fans were calling for his head, and Patrick stuck his neck out and stayed loyal. If he doesn't repay that faith, and do the right thing by the man who refused to sack him, when all around were calling for his head, then I will be even more disillusioned in football than ever.
Bristol City have a very wealthy owner and I can't believe he's going to put his trust in an, as yet, unproven manager like our Lee. He wants someone to keep in them in the division for starters so why would he think that man is Johnson? Personally I think Johnson will go on to be a top manager but it's way too early to worry he's going to be poached by an ambitious club. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Actually, I've changed my mind. I know LJ was mentioned to amazement on here early doors, but I think Rosler was the bookies fave, then Cooper. So apologies.
I think all this talk of loyalty is massively misguided. At the end of the day, it's a job I imagine he wants and has more connection with than us. They're in a higher division and opportunities like that don't come around too often. I think it'd be a bad move for him but I'd understand entirely if he did.
The tweet is now saying that Lee Johnson will be announced on Monday as BCFC's new manager, and compo already agreed between the two clubs.
I can understand players wanting to move onwards and upwards as/ when the opportunity arises. It's a short career. However, for a manager, they need to think a bit more carefully. If Johnson "ups sticks" now, he is effectively turning his back on the man who showed him incredible loyalty. "He's a man with a young family, I will not sack him at Christmas." That's not a great thing to have on your CV, and in my opinion will come back to haunt him. The Bristol City job will come around again and again. Let's say he takes it now, and it goes badly. They sack him. He's now a sacked manager, with a history of jumping ship twice, and showing no loyalty whatsoever. I think he needs to do the right thing here, not just for BFC and Patrick Cryne, but for his reputation.
