Lee Rigby trial verdict....

I argued this before. Someone a week before the trial started made a post stating that it had already started and that the media were ignoring it. So far, despite me bring that up a few times and even returning that thread to the tope, that person has neither apologised or even admitted they were wrong.

Obviously it's no surprise that they've been found guilty but how justice system needs to be seen to be working. Just simply sentencing people without a trial is how you create more terrorists not less.
I hope they are given life without parole.

 

There was a ruling by the imbeciles in Europe recently that a whole life tariff breaches human rights and should be considered inhuman and degrading. This ruling not only highlighted how incredibly out of touch these idiots are with the public opinion but also sprang our government into action through a challenge to the ruling. At this moment in time there are several appeals to their whole life tariffs being lodged by some of our most notorious full life tariff prisoners. From memory there are currently still approximately twenty inmates with a full life tariff. I guess it’s a case of watch this space.

4 out of 5 civilian deaths in Afghanistan are caused by the Taliban and other anti government forces.

 

Maybe it is on the wrong thread and can be deemed insensitive but it's not meant to be. I feel we're fighting a war were never gunna win, we're bombing the **** out of countries and we've nutters in our own country committing sickening stuff like this on our streets.

There is absolutely no comparison between the two events. Nothing can justify or explain what these two did.

 

Whichever way you look at the death of Lee Rigby, it is frightening, barbaric and 100% wrong.

The 2 extremists, guilty of the murder, will now cost the British Taxpayer an absolute fortune in prison and security costs.

Nothing will bring Lee Rigby back and his family and friends will suffer this loss for the rest of their lives.

I don't know what the answer is.....I'm just absolutely at a loss at what you can do with these "animals".

 

I'm surprised they didn't actually as I believed "shooting to wound" was actually impossible and you have to shoot at the chest and the middle of the body because it's the biggest target.

 

If they scumbags were intent on dying why did they not refuse medical treatment?

 

Once you're in police custody, you can't.

 

It took them so long to find them guilty because they were doing it right.

Doing it wrong is shooting them dead straight away, because that's what they wanted and because that it their way.

Our way is the rule of law. You can't have it both ways if you want to live in a civil country.

 

I think it is just as wrong when it is not an accident.

 

This. Plus wasn't one of the charges dropped during the trial? Due process. Do it wrong and your liable for technicalities and appeals.

 

I think it's still under review.

The EU court of Human Rights said we had to abolish, but the government went back appealing the decision.
