No I didn't but you are completely missing the point. You are blaming and penalising innocent fans for something which they had nothing to do with.

Im not missing the point at all I never said it was leeds fans fault. I my self think it's a rip off hence why like I said I won't pay more than 30 for an away ticket. But it wouldn't be right for Leeds to charge us 38 quid and we charge leeds 23 so barnsley fans have paid an extra 15 quid to watch the same 2 teams. Like I said it should be capped until it is then this will keep happening or until people make a stand and boycott sadly. What we're your reason for not going Elland road?

A lot for reasons. I was working , it was expensive, the people I'd usually go with couldn't go, I hate the antiquated stand and others really

Both sets of fans have to pay the same to watch the same match.

In the upcoming fixture at Oakwell both Barnsley and Leeds fans have to pay £36.

At the fixture at Elland Road earlier this season, both Barnsley and Leeds fans had to pay £38.*

One set of fans aren't getting charged more than the other.

*Leeds don't do the same as us, at Oakwell it's £36 across the board, wherever you sit, at Leeds there are different prices in different stands.

At Elland road it's 38 to sit in the away end the home ends are cheaper. Although the away end is a poor view for 38 quid

It should be more expensive for the Leeds game, we're going to have to pay out more than any other game for Police seen as it's more likely to kick off than any other game this season & is a 5.30pm kick off.

At Leeds united away fans don't sit in an end, they sit in the upper tier down the side and home fans in the same stand pay identical

At Elland road it's 38 quid for all away fans so a few quid diffrence then but not much they even charged reading 38 quid a few weeks ago on a Tuesday night. Thanks for hi jacking another thread though.

In the words of super Tyke that's not fair though leeds fans didn't set the kick off time.

It's on telly, they can go to the pub or watch from home.
I've got a season ticket but will probably save myself the petrol money and watch it at home instead,

Without pouring petrol on to the fire ...the only reason clubs charge these inflated prices is because innocent fans become guilty of paying said prices when all it needs is a total boycott and I don't mean Geoffrey or their Peter.
Until somebody takes a stance those certain clubs will continue ripping folk off

I'm angry that it's on TV to be honest.
Even though Sky pay the Club a set amount for televising the game, I've heard it's not enough to cover the Money raised from what would be a very good match day attendence.
The prices are ridiculous at Leeds. The only reason I went was because I could get a ticket as a senior, even then it was ridiculous.
    Horrible club and fans.
Cellino wasn't prepared to enter into a reciprocal agreement so tough.
Their fans have to pay what we had to pay but they have the advantage of being able to watch it on TV thus saving themselves a lot of money.
The same will happen when Sheffield Wednesday come to Oakwell.
It's obvious that the owners are thinking merely of profit and not the long suffering fans.
It's all about greed in the game.
I don't feel sorry for them.
They can moan all they like for all I care !

In a similar way should reading put the prices up for us to match how we charge them? Same goes for villa?

The prices are agreed, or not, before the start of the season. I'd guess that Reading and Villa refused to reduce prices, so we set accordingly. Same as what happened to Leeds.

Reading and villa charge away fans less than we charged their fans though

I don't think anyone would.mind been charged the same as reading (£23) or villa (£30) we aren't forced to pay them prices if we think they are unfair. What we don't want is to be charged £38 at Elland road and then barnsley let leeds in for 23 quid!

They don't know how lucky they are. They get to sit in a better stand than our own fans and for less money. It's an easier ground for them to get to thanks to where Barnsley train station is and they have the option to not go and instead watch on TV which we didn't.

They do have a point but I don't feel sorry for them
They think it's down to us wanting a big pay day for own cup final - it isn't
Then throwing the usual tinpot phrases around - crap ground etc makes you feel less sorry for them. They need to get angry at their own club as they are the ones who refused to change the prices not us
