Two wrongs don't make a right though. We are acting like Cellino and impacting normal people. We have had zero impact on him nor have we tried to do so. Boycotting tickets is the only way to act against inflated ticket prices if indeed that is our aim. Anything else and we are not looking to change things just joining in the exploitation. You are right there should be an upper limit but whilst there isn't. We should charge a fair limit ourselves whatever we think that is and boycott any tickets above that limit. If not we should end the exploitation of normal fans by over inflating our prices it achieves nowt.
Oh the irony. Why doesn't their Chief Executive explain to them why it's that amount as I'm sure he would have had something to do with arranging our price structure preseason
You are right we should send the tickets over 30 quid back. But football is a business and that will never happen you don't get any prizes for doing things like that. And some fans will moan as people will pay anything it seems to see their team I couldn't belive we took 2600 to Hillsborough on a Tuesday night as long as fans keep paying this will keep happening unfortunately.
I agree mate. 30 quid is my limit and that's fairly reluctantly. I just don't agree with exploiting normal people than pretending we are acting morally. The moral position would be to have a set amount for all away teams and stick to it and promote that as much as possible the tit for tatting hurts no one except normal people (and even Leeds fans are that)
I'm sure Cellino (or bullsht Ben), will give the visiting Leeds fans a pie voucher each, to ease their pain.
Regardless of kick off time we'll still need to pay for more police than any other game because of Leeds' reputation which is a section of the fans' fault
Barnsley fc at start of the season; "We have adopted a ticket pricing approach which is reciprocal as far as possible with other Championship clubs. This gives us the best opportunity to compete in the Championship" " In other cases, it will be higher where opposition clubs have indicated their intent to charge our away fans more than we have sought in representations to them" Leeds United knew full well what the actions of charging us £38 would be and Leeds fans complaining about prices should have a look closer to Home. Leeds obviously have no issues in expecting 6000k Travelers to pay £36 in the return fixture. Yes im sorry for all fans involved having to pay extortionate prices but the opportunity was there for both clubs to agree a fair price. Leeds have been ripping people off for years (Sleeping Giant Syndrome).
Can't see why anyone's complaining here. For home fans how many are going to be paying on the gate and not taking advantage of season ticket or flexibility ticket which is a substantial reduction? Don't see why we should make ourselves as a club less competitive relative to other clubs by letting Leeds fans in cheaper. We are already at a substantial disadvantage financially without subsidising other clubs. Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
People are complaining because they don't think it's right to rip normal people off. Leeds fans have no say in what their club charge us yet it is them that pay not the mad Italian. How exactly were they meant to stop him. We have charged several teams more than they charge us so it's all ******** anyway.
Can I just point out, it's not the Leeds fans who set the ticket prices at Elland road, it's done by the football clubs. Leeds fans have as much right to moan about astronomical ticket prices as we have. Because their club has historically charged quite high prices anyway shouldn't make their opinion any less valid. #TeamsLikeBarnsley
Can I point out that their argument becomes invalid in my eyes when they start insulting our ground and our club. Leeds pricing policy has primarly created this situation
Plenty of Leeds fans laughing at us and the prices we were being charged when we played them . That, amongst all the insults at us, our ground, our culture and our team. If they are unhappy about having to pay £36, then their fan groups should be targeting their owner and Board. Leeds fans are well aware of the pricing structure of their Club. Liverpool Red I agree with wholeheartedly.
i went to Leeds. I paid £38 quid. It makes me feel better that Leeds fans have to pay similar at Oakwell.
