I think with this policy they will make more money from the away end than they did last season, even if the figures are slightly down. Leeds will still sell out at £30 a ticket. So we will make 30-40k on that match alone compared to last season. Pity we haven't got Wednesday this season. We averaged 1,442 away supporters last season at Oakwell l can't see the £30 changing that too much.

I know for a fact that the league have been trying to get clubs to do this for years.

Had correspondence with them a few years ago cos the pricing policies got me so annoyed. They have been proposing common price structure but never get it through.

Not really sure regarding the programme income as it is contracted out. We still run the car parks I think, unless the income goes to their actual owner?

£30 a bargain if there teams winning they'll full oakwell away end all 5'800 seats no problem, there doing ****e so they'll have a rekconing boycott to excuse there poor turn out, no point moaning about ticket prices they are what they are, go or don't go the choice is yours, but moaning int going to change the price. for years they have got away with paying £20 at oakwell wile most other clubs charged £25, times are hard now we can't charge a 5er less then all the other clubs anymore, its time to dig deep and pay a 5er more then most clubs because where struggling to make ends meet, and if they don't want to £30 they stay at home listen to the radio and moan about it ont internet,

Infact its football league rules, away fans have to be charged AT LEAST the same as home fans, can charge more but no less, as this is Cat A game and thats what Barnsley fans are being charged, that's what we have to charge them, tough luck

I don't blame them at all.

This Catigory system is nothing short of a rip off. I detest it.

I know 5 regular pay on the Day supporters who are staying away from the £30 games and I am another.

If away fans come in less numbers and our own fans who are alienated by the £30 charge stay away the Club will have shot itself in the foot and it serves them right.

    Well done Don.

They won't be going to many games this season then as I think only about 7 games are NOT category A

Basically, what we are saying is that bog standard games are what is classed as Category A, and the REALLY unattractive fixtures are the only ones we discount.
In other words, £30 is our standard price this year.

Its getting ridiculous. If we ever went up to the Prem again I don't think I would see a game, as I refuse to be prodded for £40 or more for tickets to feed millionaire lifestyles.

Ive said it on more than one occasion the F A should step in and set the price straight across the board for away fans of all clubs20 quid no more, that way everybody wins and it stops all the in fighting even a season ticket for away fans might even work if all the clubs signed up for it...imagine if the wealth from away season tickets was collected by the FA then evenly distributed amongst the league teams every club would benefit from it.
