He lost me with his tactics and substitutions. I can't see what he didn't like about Mowatt and Woodrow. Our two best players.
I have bought ST this season knowing we won’t see many matches. I wanted to support the club and staff. This was important to me and to be proactive in my support during difficult times. This article talks of loyalty and positions a very important point of this being two way. I also have ambitions in watching us that I feel is a growing gap between those of the club. It’s not my duty or responsibility to be the saviour of the the clubs, along with the other 8K. We may choose to continue or may choose not to. It’s clear that this club isn’t still here due to the owners strategy, tactics or even existence. No investments have been made from the ownership. It’s only still here because of us fans. Next season my proactive support will became reactive. I will watch and wait before I invest my time and money. Right now i’m not sure what the club direction and ambition is but I can see that the facts are it is defiantly not to become an established club in the championship or even higher. I feel we aim to get away with the absolute minimum needed to attempt to stay in the champ or compete top of L1. Progression isn’t in the owners vocabulary.
As usual, Leon has been articulate and measured in his opinion. And he's not wrong with any of it. Identifying the problems and the concerns, without jumping to the "killing our club" and "give us a refund" conclusions.
Agree, solid article. I do feel Struber was going to leave for NY anyway. It wasn't a lack of backing or signing that led to it. We were a stepping stone for him. As many have said on here, his pissing and moaning is a great way for him to justify bailing on BFC for something that he feels is progression and I'm sure pays way more.
