carnt believe how many people have this stange idea that with stones we could stay up yet witout we are doomed YES he good but he isnt the finished article its that simple his final ball is not alway great and he makes learning mistakes Yes good he will get better but he isnt OUR TEAM he one man and i also believe THAT at 3 million not one team in this divsion would turn down a offer like that 3 million would buy nearly if not EVERY defender in this league so price aint that bad Plus im sure theres a decent sell on clause i there
In which case sell for the same if we get relegated...more possibility of relegation if we sell IMO, given that we'll struggle to replace with the end of the transfer window. I guess rather then enjoying watching the development of a young player I can instead look forward to watching another loanee with no attachment to the club.
It's a risk though. There's nothing to gaurantee we would get that for him come the summer. Injury / loss of form etc etc
I'd be much happier if he was going to a bigger club so he'd get loaned back to us until the end of the season, and so that we might get a chance to loan him next season as well. I hope that there is at least a 25% sell on clause for if he does manage to make another move to a bigger team. However, there's no guarantee that he will make it. He could get injured and be out for a season and never be the same player again. Or he may just lose form and his valuation would go down dramatically. I'd probably take £3million with add ons and a sell on clause as we may never get offered that again. I'm still not sure he would want to leave to go and play in a team full or foreigners with no one else his age while he's so young though. He may decide to delay on making a move to the premier league since he still has at least another 15 years of his career left.
