Its a bit of a joke of what the club put out. But its okay for some to rip onto a guy that came from Europe in Covid with problems over permits. Or some of the stuff said about Chien Lee or Paul Conway but a bit joke around something the club put out with a little twist on it. That's something you can't do? it's a bit of fun. I'm sat not feeling great and it made me smile to have a little joke.
I never saw Iseka play at all well, he was lazy but its a new season with a new Manager and im for giving him a chance, however if an offer comes in and its viable, then let him go, he's gorra be low in pekkin order.
What a bizarre response. You seem you be heading full speed into Frimpong territory again here. Let's have a look at the stats shall we. Oulare: 101 appearances in 8 years, with 9 different clubs. 16 goals. That's 16 goals. in 8 years. Across 9 clubs. That's 1 goal in every 6.31 games Iseka: 147 appearance in in 8 years, with 6 different clubs. 23 goals. Even worse ratio at 1 goal in every 6.39 games Norwood: 451 appearance in 14 years, with 8 different clubs. 169 goals. That's 1 goal in every 2.67 games I'm keen to know what these 'things' are that they have 'done in football', compared to Norwood. Could you explain please?
there was a post yesterday claiming he couldn’t be bothered to learn English. Yes, if he had spoken through a translator you’d have thought it would have been mentioned
Seeing as the Usual Suspect has derailed yet another thread, hopefully we can get back on track. If Iseka suffered mentally last year then it would explain a lot. Similar to how Luke Thomas has struggled. Just because someone is on a good contract and earning decent money, doesn't mean that everything is rosey in their garden. I hope he gets over any problems he's encountered and can help us. What he has to do with James Norwood, I do not know.
I saw it as meaning that as everybody’s up for sale if the right offer comes in who knows what’s around the corner. He’s under contract, wants to stay here and prove himself and put right his below standard performances from last season. I see that as commitment from somebody from a foriegn country who is determined to impress this season with a clean slate. We all see and interpret things differently.
I'm not happy with the board. However, I like the look of the players brought in and think players already left here such as Iseka add vibrance to a young squad. Thomas I'd like to keep too. From the good things I've heard about Duff 3-5-2 isn't set in stone and he changes tactically before, after and during games. Maybe he can get the best out of Benson, Thomas, Iseka and Kane. Then there's Aitchison too. We haven't been battered this pre season. We have rid of the dead wood and those who want out and are still actively looking to bring players in. I'm optimistic and excited. My only issue is the funding but I'm banging my head against a brick wall on that front. Happy not to comment on that again it's making me bitter and I don't want those feelings creeping in as they can manifest away from football.
The funding is what it is SD. We've never been a club that has money so no change there. Just enjoy us battling against the odds like we always have to, set some realistic targets and cheer us on to achieving them. For me mid table this season and challenging next is realistic. Fingers firmly crossed.
Out of curiosity bud, what would you realistically be happy with funding wise? No need to reply if you don't want, after seeing your final sentence on your post.
You lunatic You judging our signings by fifa or football manager or something because im clueless to where you get your logic from. Absolutely barmy i tell thi.
I think he does, I'm sure hes mentioned it before. I think his justification is that some clubs also use it for players, which is completely true. However, unlike Hemsy, the other clubs don't write off players instantly when seeing where they played their youth football - it's a game at the end of the day, and it get's a lot more wrong than it does right
I'll decline mate. I've an idea in my head of what I'd like to see. I think it will be a while before I spend any money on Barnsley F.C.
My point was bringing Norwood into a thread about Iseka when it wasn't the conversation. I'm sorry you're not feeling great and hope you have a good weekend and that the footy can make you smile.
Fair enough matey. I hope they can convince you in the near future and change your mind, I think there's a fair few people with similar mindsets to yours, so the club definitely has a job on to convince
