Yes all the time . I praised them highly after the rovers win . They played ok last night. Lack of cutting edge and some silly mistakes cost us again.
I don't think kitchen is good enough . His lack of games last year showed that. I'm not alone on this one

Kitching brings balance and physicality and no he doesn’t perform badly due to lack of effort.

He generally performs badly due to lack of ability.

I thought he’d find his level at league one - but I’m yet to see him be comfortable. Hope he comes good, I don’t see him getting dropped - but I’ve not seen anything to suggest he’s going to be great thus far.

Id say a bit of class and a silly mistake diving in when he didnt need to cost us 2 nil was always going to be hard to come back from. Then when we missed the pen you just knew.

Agree with all of this. Basically I think he's a bit rubbish, but there were many players last season who weren't putting in the effort they're capable of. Kitching always tried.

I hoped he'd adapt a bit better to this league though.

My biggest worry is we'll accept an offer for Andersen. Particularly as no one wants Styles for obvious reasons. And if we're left with a back three of McCarthy, Cundy and Kitching... Good grief.

ironic how people are rightly saying how critical it is that we keep Andersen. worth remembering the start he had with us.

He reminds me a little bit of Ben Williams....all action, full on attitude.
However has limited ability....he should be ok at this level but not seen that yet. Hopefully coach will do a number on him and make him a better footballer.

I love Liams rampaging forays into the opposition half of the pitch, just need to make them count.

I think Cundy looks okay no idea who the other is ? If it’s McCarthy I’d agree he looked poor when he came on against Bristol.

As others have said...the lad is a proper trier and he's a fighter. Never shirts. Ever.
Never shies away from a tackle and great foraging runs going forward. Admittedly his passing needs to improve but it will with this coaching team.
Many will disagree with me but the lad is worth his place in the starting line up.

Of course he is . There's nothing behind him . I agree he's a trier but his distribution is awful . No point foraging if he skies into the stands

Kitching is my current favourite Barnsley FC player, mad charging runs, commited strong tackles, always full effort and the scrap with the Leeds player infront of the leeds end takes him up to legend status in my eyes.

    Good grief.

I bet you used to love Brian O’Callaghan and Mateo Corbo.

I predict he will score and not sky as a consequence of one of his foraging runs this season.
Let's jump this post to May 23.
