In fairness to Connell he’s been injured/recovering for what seems like most of the season

I mentioned in another thread I'd look to see if Adam Davies wanted to sign. He's out of contract and it'd be good to have his experience in the squad.

I'd sign him, I'd say we've seen enough to give him a chance. More to the point why do we have a National League level keeper as back up? What did we see there??

I don't agree about Collins. I thought he was always a good keeper. Mark Robins obviously likes him. He's been a regular in the Coventry side since November. While watching the Cup semi final v Man United, I was reminded just how good Collins is with his feet, in stark contrast to Roberts.

A cheap, viable option. Same for most clubs and their second choice keepers mate.

Maybe he was playing for a contract earlier in season and now not bothered about one :)

Disagree, look at the rest of the top 6. They all have able number 2s. Just like having 1 LWB, having a pub keeper as no. 2 is a failure in recruitment

We have an able number 2 as well. Hes better at kicking and catching imo. Had plenty of games in league 2 and when he has played, for most of games, he's looked okay imo. No issue with him being our number 2. Hopefully recruitment improves though.

He's been awful recently hasn't he, compared to his great early season form.
But (based on confidence, or lack of it!) would any of us want to start next season with him, or Killip in goal ?.

Well he's out of contract so he'll not be going back to Boro only to clear his locker.. I'd have him let Killip go and bring in another to fight it out with Roberts

Portsmouth (only one I’ve looked at) who is the able no.2 that you’re referring to?
Macey -29 who hasn’t really done a lot or Schofield 24 who hasn’t done anything?

Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying Killip is better but they are not what I’d call capable back ups.
Tyke tree frog is correct most clubs at this level operate on the thought process of the No1 plays virtually every game in a season and injury risk is statistically very low for a GK.

Most clubs own a No 1 though, we don't.

In reality we do for a season though even though he’s on loan.

Sorry but I think it’s now time to look at other options. His kicking and when he’s got the ball at his feet scares the crap out of me. Doesn’t command his area on crosses most of the time also. I’m sure there’s lots of other options to look at in non league………
