Not that I want our players to get sent off or anything, but it's always good having someone in midfield willing to get stuck into a challenge. Sometimes, even something as simple as a good, hard tackle can spark the crowd into life, and therefore get the team going. Scowen was good at that if memory serves.

 

He seems quite similar to Connell from what I've read. Even taken a similar career path. Broke through at a Championship club, left for Celtic when they were relegated to league one, never given the chance their and been down the divisions on loan. He's actually played a few more games than what Connell had when we signed him.

I hope we are interested in him. It'd be an encouraging signing.

Profile of player we don't have from what I know. He was a really dynamic box to box midfielder at the owls from what I remember. Very good on the ball for someone of his size, used to be able to carry the ball forward really well which I think we miss at the moment in midfield
