We should merge with Oxford United & Reading and relocated to Didcot. I have no ulterior motive at all in this!

Let's relocate to Birdwell, build a new stadium, rename the club Birdwell Blast, change the strip to all purple, call it progress & everything's obviously for the better. Anyone who disagrees are dinosaurs holding the club back, incapable of forward thinking & aren't wanted in the Brave New World.:D:D

Be very surprised if this was on Cryne's agenda, normally teams relocate due to lack of space, that certainly isn't the case at Oakwell.

I suppose the only mistake they made during redevelopment was not building the East Stand a bit further back as this then limited the footprint on which a new West Stand could go on, I think the West would have gone years ago had there not been so many barriers to rebuilding it - not just space but also the impact on the houses behind through restricting sunlight etc.

How about somewhere a bit warmer....
I was thinking somewhere in Spain... Near the coast.
    Elbarnselona

The club could build a hotel for season ticket holders

I asked Stuart Manley that question or something similar at the time. As the ground was to be developed why not have the East Stand parallel to Grove Street. He informed me it was not possible due to the location of a 36" water main that behind the East Stand, which could not be stradled by a building.

dodworth mudstack would be brill for me, would be a 10 minute walk, think it would look great coming off the motorway a brand new 20 000 seater stadium surrounded by pubs restuarants casino job lot, new start new begining. or not.

I'd rather have a smaller stadium and fill it most weeks. Hate to see acres of empty seats in 20-30,000 seat stadiums.

We are never going to be a "big club" and all those extra thousands who latch on to the club when things are going well soon melt away again.

Back in the 1960s it used to be called the faithful 5,000. It's a bit better than that now but we will never have a core support of 15,000 plus. Never.

at Dodworth would be ideal, near Capitol Park. Next to the motorway and train line where there is a plan to move the train station for the park and ride which would be an income during the week

agree, but when clubs build new stadiums they seem to get a few thousand more fans. being a bit closer to penistone silkstone and what not could create an interest of fans,on the other hand it could take fans away for them who live the other side of barnsley. but i suspect them who goes now would still make the journey.

I'd bet 67p that nothing of this type happens within the next year. 10 years who knows. But given the prime site at Oakwell I'd be pretty surprised if we upped sticks anywhere soon. Given we would get nowt for Oakwell so have to fund the millions in coats from somewhere or other.
