It's always easy to make ill informed judgements from the outside looking in when you don't have all the information but in my eyes Ben Mansford did a great job here. He always seemed approachable, affable, gave sensible and respectful answers and opinions. He spoke well...maybe too eloquently for one or two on here who seem to distrust anyone that doesn't talk like someone from tarn. He, together with Patrick Cryne, made huge steps in transforming the interface between club and fans here at Barnsley. I've never, ever known this club or any other be so open and approachable and willing to listen to their supporters. It seems he left under a bit of a cloud but nonetheless I think he made a good contribution here and I was disappointed he left. Which leads me on to Linton Brown. I've just watched the full Q and A. I was pleasantly surprised. He's not as smooth in his style and delivery as Ben but I think he did ok, especially as it was his first appearance in this sort of environment. If he carries out his role well and maintains the relationship with the fans in terms of accessibility etc then he'll do for me.
I can imagine, I work in the public sector now and although you get the odd one, they quickly p*ss off back to the private sector when they realise no-one appreciates their character.
On this basis why don't we appoint Peter Hitchens as CEO? Someone who, like his late brother, has made a career out of eloquently talking b0llocks.
