Not saying it's ok at all. I read up on statutory rape. After the poster claimed the lad who posted he'd had sex at 15. By a twenty something woman. Was statutory raped. No he wasn't unless the law has changed. Big difference Jay. And the rest of you. Reading summat not there. Read up on it. It is a bit foggy.

 

I'd read up on it b4 posting. I dont agree with it. Just pointing it out. Check it out for yourself. Since when is pointing out the law as I read it, an offence. If anyone reads it differently. Then please correct me.

You're getting all pedantic on a subject that really doesn't require it, you've been advised it's not a good look, you doubled down. Just looks a strange move.

 

He was statuorily raped unless the woman had reasonable belief that he was over 16. Which from his reply it sounds like she did. I was mistaken, but the use of the word "stripped" in his original post made it sound like she knew how old he was.

 

Thank you. It's why I queried it. It looks a bit of a minefield what charges can be brought forward.
The age gaps provide interesting outcomes as well. As someone else pointed out.

 

At 16 I was in a relationship with a 21yo (who had a 1yo baby), lasted about 18 months.

At 21 I was in a relationship with a 16yo, lovely lass, was more mature than me, got on great with her parents, lived with her and her mam for 6 months, we were together for 3 years, lived together in Leeds.

I don't think there was anything wrong in either relationship, and no-one else did either.
