I don't need to convince you, all the evidnece is there

if you want to find out what happened then fair enough. If you don't then so be it. it was a disaster waiting to happen. the bottleneck outside leppings Lane had happened before to other teams which again had nothing to do with a "hoard" and the ability of the officer in charge that day averted a tragedy.

All the documentation, research, eye witness accounts are there. I've summarised the best i can.

    But strangely no crush disasters.

Painted yourself into a corner there haven't you?

    Kick off was approaching ?

Did you actualy read what I put?

"the bottleneck outside leppings Lane had happened before to other teams which again had nothing to do with a "hoard" and the ability of the officer in charge that day averted a tragedy."

Those occasions would have led tragedy if it hadn't been for the fact the officer in charge managed to deal with the situation. Duckenfield didn't. plus added to this situation was the transport delays and the fact that Duckenfiled hadn't seen fit to filter people to the correct areas further away from the ground as per previous years.

Ultimately, if previous warnings hadn't been ignored and it had been realsied that due to the bottle neck outside Leppings lane, the lack of turnstiles for that end of the ground and the inadequate state of those that were there then Hillsborough would never have been used as a venue.

so because a football match is about to kick off it constitutes pushing and shoving other human beings, ultimately causing the deaths of 96 people. now come on, common sense should surely kick in somewhere down the line.

like someone said previous, i really hope the people who acted like morons take a long, hard look at themselves

of course blood samples of the innocent victims wont have shown they were drunk

thats because the ticketless liverpool fans illegally entering the stand at the back were the drunk ones.

Not Been A Lover Of Liverpool

I do respect the 96 that died has nobody should die at a football match, however i also say that the Scousers where not compltely blameless, they seem to blame everyone but themselves, SYP, The FA for giving them the smaller stand, saying they had to travel along the A 57 through Derbyshire to arrive in the South of Sheffield this meaning that they where causing more traffic because thats the way the Forest fans travelled too making them late for the game.

If they knew they had the smaller stand why travel without tickets surely common sense would tell them that they had little chance of getting into the ground especially so close to kick off.

Theres an article in todays Sun by a reporter who has been based in Liverpool for the last 34 years who said he travelled the same way through Derbyshire & that all the country pubs where full of Kopites...but LFC fans say they hadnt been drinking???

    Anyway **** it

    RIP the 96

    (although i prefer a 69)

We all have an obligation to...

take our seats "at least 30 minutes" before the start of the game. How many of us observes that stipulation?

Anybody actually read the Taylor report...?

Thousands of ticketless fans turned up in Sheffield to gain free entry via the gates this had already happened at another match that season.

People were still boozing in the pubs at 2.45pm

Police horses which were trying to control the crowds outside the Leppings Lane End had numerous cigarette burns on them.

The infrastructure around the ground was appaling, eg trying to get ambulances to the ground.

Of course is a tragedy that 96 people lost their lives but SY Police werent the only ones to blame.

if your referring to me then I will rise to your ill informed bait.

Football matches kicked off at 3pm on a Saturday (before SKY TV).

It wasn't the norm in 1989 to delay kick offs that was why so many people forced their way to Leppings Lane at 2.45 so they wouldnt miss the kick off.

Care to back that statement up with some facts, no thought not.

I cant see how you can take sides on what happened at Hillsborough, as someone who has actually read the Taylor report cover to cover I said the police werent entirely blameless which to you translates as it was Liverpool fans fault.

    Over to you.
