I was confirming that the kick off time was 3.15 always thought it was due to shift patterns

but as I said I could be wrong and it appears I am.

Your argument re the late kick off falls down somewhat, you state Barnsley used to kick off at 3.15pm for the drunks, the cup semi final between Liverpool and Forest kicked off at 3pm not 3.15pm.

Thousands of ticketless fans turning up 15 mins before kick off was the primary cause, the secondary cause was police opening the gates.

3.15 kick offs were in the days when pubs closed at 3.</p>

It gave you time to get from the Dove to Oakwell.</p>

I don't think it was shift patterns more to do with pub openning hours.</p>
