I think we should take this hyper sensitivity futher and now refrain from giving the opposition team any stick during games. After all its likely that some opposition players may one day sign for Barnsley and be unable to perform because the fans once said they werent very good whilst playing for another team and simply cant get over it. The poor lambs.
He's got every right to be a bit peed off, it's pathetic and helps nobody. I'd be lying if I said I haven't joined in, in the past. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
What is pathetic is the fact he's still here. Pathetic on the boards part and even more pathetic that LJ himself hasnt got the decency to say 'im just not upto it'. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Behave. He should be thanking his lucky stars he's still in a job. Other managers did far better than him (who could do worse?) and got more stick.
What I find worrying is how representative this is of our manager and player's collective mental strength. I knew they were weak as pi55 but commenting on individual snippets of terrace humour really makes them look softer than I feared. Proper softies.
And a contributing factor of our poor performance is our fans singing "you're nothing special, we lose every week", fact. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
I don't often agree with you but I respect your opinions. However, in this instance you are talking utter drivel. It's nowt to do with the supporters. To suggest otherwise is beyond ludicrous.
It can't be. Using simple logic, we must have been losing every week in order for that song to be relevant in the first place. The two are not even remotely linked.
Quite possibly one of the most nonsensical posts I've ever read on this forum. And that's saying summat. So let me clarify this. Are you seriously suggesting these chants are contributing to the players/team losing? If you are, wow...
Well maybe not, but if someone was shouting that at me, I'd think "**** it". Hardly helpful is it. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Do you think that the players saw it that way when we were a goal down away at Altrincham. I'll be honest I shouted it too, in anger at the way we played that day. Clearly Lee doesn't see it that way. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
What itd make me think is '**** me, best start pulling my socks up a bit if even our own fans are chanting that' and if I was LJ id be thinking '**** me, i must not be the amazing tactician I think I am' Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Can't believe this thread has got nearly a 100 replies and is the subject of such earnest debate...if your own supporters sing that you're ****, does this affect the players' confidence and performance or not.
Do you think the players didnt realise they deserved it being a goal down against part time plasterers? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
No but when theyve been as ****ing horrendous as they have been they should/deserve to be let know they havent been good enough. My main gripe is not with the players its with the worst manager in the football league that we seem to stuck with regardless Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
