We have had 6 managers since we returned to the Championship. Four were sacked, one left because he wanted to spend money that the club did not have, and one is still in charge. In my opinion, they have all done a decent job. Yet we are deep in trouble and are probably going down.

The problem as I see it is not the managers, who have in the main, done their best with limited financial resources. It is the fans, who in spite of lots of evidence to the contrary, just cannot see that it it next to impossible to build a competitive team in the championship without the money to do so. And so the merry-go-round continues. One manager follows another through the exit door and the fans ensure that no long term planning can be done through their pressure upon a weak board. This is just the sort of thread that begins that process. Wilson is not immunised against criticism and I have been critical sometimes of his team selections, tactics and player signings/player releases. Nevertheless, the thing that our club needs now, above all, is stability. It does not need a new manager and a new direction. Whether we stay up, or go down, the club will need to be rebuilt from the bottom. It will not be able to buy success. It will have to rely in players that do not command a transfer fee or high wages. It will have to rely on the academy to produce more players than it has done. It will have to improve these player and sell them on to generate funds. It will be a long process that will rely on the continuity that a long term management appointment brings.

Above all, it relies upon the patience and perseverance of its supporters.

Possibly Davey is the only manager that there were vociferous calls for him to go. Even Keith Hill was rarely at the very end, subject to calls to go at games. I think you're trying a bit too hard to make yourself look like one of the few who can see the bigger picture and the rest of us are just unable to grasp what you can.

The fans aren't the problem. Look a bit higher up the food chain.

I'm sorry but that is a bit too cryptic for me. Who do you think is to blame, and why do you think that way. I would rather know exactly what you think rather than have to guess.

    Very harsh.

Proschwitz has been hit & miss, he's probably getting more stick on here because his last couple of games were the 'miss' ones

McLaughlin - Superb against Blackpool, didn't see the Wigan game but he played injured so shouldn't be judged on that

Hunt - Good going forward but poor defensively. Definitely will improve with games I.M.O

Shea - after a promising first 2 games he was awful but Wilson had to take a gamble on loans as there aren't many decent free agents knocking about in January. I don't think anyone can blame Danny signing him, a pacey left winger was exactly what we needed & I don't think anyone would've turned down the chance to sign one with 20+ caps for the USA. Unfortunately it didn't work
