You're right. Who did we play just after that when it was 3-3? It was Murphy that scored a blinder of a free kick that game I think?
QPR Beresford went off injured and a sub goalie went in. I don't think it was Flinders. QPR scored the goal that never was, when Kay cleared it before it crossed the line but the linesman gave it.
Didn't Furlong get sent off as well? I remember P.Hart had just become manager, a load on here were saying they were the types of game to be expecting the season after as 'that's how he likes to play football'.
I don't remember the sending off I remember we were 2-1 down with 10 mins left. I think Nardiello equalised, and then Murphy scored that free kick with about 2-3 mins to go. QPR kicked off and equalised virtually straight away. Anybody help with the sub-keeper? I'm sure it wasn't Flinders, but I can't think who it was.

When we drew 2-2 in the cup Mark Smith and Steve Cooper scored the goals. We won 2-1 in the league a few weeks later, with Steve Agnew and Andy Saville getting on the score sheet. Lee Glover never scored for Barnsley.
I was there when we drew 2-2 in the cup and don't remember him scoring. I'm sure he never scored for us.
Ron Wigg was never on loan, mate We signed him on a contract towards the end of the 1976/77 season. He didn't score his first goal until the following season. He scored five goals and was our top scorer at the time, so we promptly sold him to Scnuthorpe United.
