RE: Ron Wigg was never on loan, mate Cheers ar kid..... For some reason i thought he was on loan at first (Y) Must be the brandy *cough*
One big name player who scored when on loan to us Neil Redfearn. Scored a penalty just before his deal became permanent. Also did David Currie come back on loan just before he signed the ssecond time?
Ian Bryson Who was signed on loan from the Blades by Viv Anderson didn't he score for us? What about the Spaniard who Hendrie signed Piri??? im sure he scored
RE: 2 who dint: Burton and Woan nt Woan wasn't a loan signing. He was a free agent who we signed on a month to month contract.
RE: that can't be right Mark Smith and Steve Cooper scored in a 2-2 draw in the FA Cup. Steve Agnew and Saville scored in a 2-1 league win there in the same year. Glover played 12 times and didn't score a single goal.
Both goals in the cup game Were scored at the Bramall Lane end and both were headers. In the league game, both goals were scored at the Shoreham Street end. Pointless and dull facts. I can't recall Ian Banks ever scoring for us at Bramall Lane. The first goal I saw us score there was by Glyn Riley in a 1-1 draw during our 1980/81 promotion season.
His debut at Hillsborough Expecting big things..... first touch he skyed a ball into the Leppings Lane end from about 10 yards.... the highest, widest shot I've ever seen....... sadly it didn't get any better.
