I hope he scores some more goals whilst on loan & we can get a fee for him, do not want to see him in a reds shirt again , I can forgive players who are not up to it but at least give it their all but I cannot forgive players who have got the talent but will not put it in , Jacob Mellis was another , plenty of talent but a heart as big as a pea .

Apologies, a bit late this week!

Aaron Leya Iseka - On loan at Adanaspor in the Turkish second tier. Adanaspor didn't have a game this week as there are 19 teams in their division and this weekend was their turn for the bye. However, next weekend they are at home to Romal Palmer's Goztepe!

Tomas Kalinauskas - On loan at Havant and Waterlooville in the National League South. Tomas wasn't in the squad for H&W's 1-1 draw at Tonbridge.

Clarke Oduor - On loan at Hartlepool in League 2. Clarke started at left back and played 74 minutes for Hartlepool as they beat Harrogate Town 3-1 at home in the FA Cup Second Round to join the Reds in the Third Round draw this evening.

Callum Styles - On loan at Millwall in the Championship. Millwall's next game is not until December 3rd as the Championship takes a break for the World Cup.

Joe Ackroyd and Keegan Hartley - On loan at Guiseley in the Northern Premier League. Guiseley suffered a 2-1 league defeat at Liversedge on Saturday, with Joe starting and playing 77 minutes, whilst Keegan was again an unused substitute.

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. A full 90 minutes for Will as Park Avenue came from behind to beat Boston United 2-1 at home in the league on Saturday.

    This weekend's round-up:-

Aaron Leya Iseka - On loan at Adanaspor in the Turkish second tier. ALI's Adanaspor drew 2-2 at home to Romal Palmer's Goztepe today. Aaron came on as a 50th minute substitute and was credited with the assist for the goal which gave Adanaspor a 2-1 lead. However, they were thwarted with an 83rd minute equaliser from the man himself, Palmer!

Tomas Kalinauskas - On loan at Havant and Waterlooville in the National League South. Tomas was an unused substitute in H&W's 1-5 home league defeat to Worthing.

Clarke Oduor - On loan at Hartlepool in League 2. Similar story for Clarke as he was an unused substitute in Hartlepool's 0-5 home defeat to Stockport which leaves them rooted to the bottom of League 2.

Callum Styles - On loan at Millwall in the Championship. Millwall lost 3-0 at Sunderland yesterday with Callum coming on as a 66th minute substitute at 2-0.

Joe Ackroyd and Keegan Hartley - On loan at Guiseley in the Northern Premier League. A return to winning ways for Guiseley as they beat Morpeth 1-0 at home in the league, following a midweek managerial change. Joe started and played the first 80 minutes before being substituted by Keegan, whose loan has been extended for a further month.

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Will's thus far successful loan has also been extended for a further month although he missed yesterday's game through illness unfortunately. Park Avenue's improved form since Will's arrival continued in his absence on Saturday with a 3-2 league win at Buxton with two goals in second half stoppage time enabling them to turn things around from 2-1 down.

Games in the last week (ALI the only one to play!):-

Aaron Leya Iseka - On loan at Adanaspor in the Turkish second tier. ALI started and played the whole game up front as Adanaspor lost 1-0 away at Keciorengucu on Saturday.

Tomas Kalinauskas - On loan at Havant and Waterlooville in the National League South. Tomas wasn't in the squad for H&W's 3-1 league win at Slough Town on Saturday.

Clarke Oduor - On loan at Hartlepool in League 2. Clarke was an unused substitute in Hartlepool's 2-0 away win at Crawley on Friday night which lifted them out of the bottom two.

Callum Styles - On loan at Millwall in the Championship. Callum missed Millwall's 1-1 draw at home to Wigan on Saturday with a calf injury.

Joe Ackroyd and Keegan Hartley - On loan at Guiseley in the Northern Premier League. The Lions away game at Marine on Saturday was postponed due to widespread illness within the Guiseley squad.

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. The illness that caused Will to miss last Saturday's win also prevented him from being available for Park Avenue's 1-0 league win at home to Telford on Monday night. Park Avenue's game at King's Lynn this Saturday was called off due to the impact of the weather on the home side's pitch.

Not sure what happened with TK this week, Havant only had 4 subs on the bench.

Clarke Oduor might as well be if he can't get on the pitch for Hartlepool after a 5-0 thrashing.

That is for the updates Exile. It’s very worrying how little game time some of the players are getting at a lower level. Feel sure ALI, TK and Oduor have all played their last games for the reds.

Yes, I saw that too. There was a comment on twitter that one of the players, Oastler I think, had been taken ill but even so you'd have thought they'd have an extra player travelling with them.

I've not heard that - his loan was announced until 3rd January 2023 - but as @Bazza mentioned Joe trains at Oakwell some days during the week as Guiseley are not full-time.

Yes, none of the players on loan to league clubs have really done very much which is worrying when you consider how much money we have tied up in the likes of Iseka and Styles. Agree about ALI, TK and Oduor probably having played their last for us.

Joe Ackroyd's loan at Guiseley has been a successful one I'd say and up to his illness Will Lancaster was getting good reviews for his Park Avenue performances so hopefully their development is progressing.

That’s right Joe Oastler the captain had a pretty bad case of flue, we’ve loaned out 3 players just now and have 3 long term injuries, in a squad of 18 it’s a pretty tight ship at times

    Yes, indeed.

What I hadn't realised until today (and which explains TK's absence from some of the H&W squads in September and November) was that Tomas made his full international debut for Lithuania on 25th September 2022 coming on as a 78th minute sub against Luxembourg in the Nations League and then he made his first international start in a friendly against Estonia on19th November 2022, playing the first half.

Aaron Leya Iseka was the only one of our players on loan to play again this week in a game that has just finished in Turkey - hence the later posting this week:-

Aaron Leya Iseka - On loan at Adanaspor in the Turkish second tier. ALI started and played the whole game up front as Adanaspor lost 3-2 at home to Denizlispor this evening.

Clarke Oduor - On loan at Hartlepool in League 2. Hartlepool's game at home to Newport on Saturday was called off due to a frozen pitch.

Callum Styles - On loan at Millwall in the Championship. Millwall's game at Luton on Sunday was called off due to a frozen pitch at Kenilworth Road.

Keegan Hartley - On loan at Guiseley in the Northern Premier League. The Lions' home FA Trophy Third Round tie against FC Halifax Town on Saturday was also called off due to a frozen pitch. The game has been re-arranged for tomorrow night.

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Park Avenue's home league game against Scarborough Athletic on Saturday was also a victim of the weather.

Lastly, a reminder that Joe Ackroyd and Tomas Kalinauskas have both recently returned to Oakwell from their loans at Guiseley and Havant and Waterlooville respectively.

Given the lack of action for our guys this week, here's some of Obbi Oulare working his way back to fitness at RWDM:-

Belated Seasonal Greetings to Everyone! This week's round up as follows:-

Aaron Leya Iseka - On loan at Adanaspor in the Turkish second tier. Aaron got another complete game in playing up front for Adanaspor as they lost 2-1 at Samsunspor on Christmas Day.

Clarke Oduor - On loan at Hartlepool in League 2. Clarke wasn't in the squad for Hartlepool's 2-1 away win at Rochdale on Boxing Day.

Callum Styles - On loan at Millwall in the Championship. Callum wasn't in the squad for Millwall's 2-0 Boxing Day win at Watford. He wasn't judged to be quite ready enough to return after his recent calf injury.

Keegan Hartley - On loan at Guiseley in the Northern Premier League. The Lions' lost their delayed home FA Trophy Third Round tie against FC Halifax Town 1-0 on Tuesday 20th but bounced back with a 3-0 league win at home to Atherton Collieries on Boxing Day. Keegan was an unused substitute against Halifax and a 90th minute substitute against Atherton.

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Will was back in the starting line-up and played the whole match as Park Avenue extended their unbeaten run to four games with a 1-1 draw at home to Farsley Celtic on Boxing Day.
