Happy New Year to all. Not too much going on over the New Year period but our loans out that were in action were:-

Callum Styles - On loan at Millwall in the Championship. Callum was a 60th minute substitute in Millwall's 0-0 at home to Bristol City on 29th December. He was then in the starting line-up playing on the left of the '2' in a 4-2-3-1 against Rotherham on New Year's Day. Millwall won 3-0 and Callum provided the assist for Tom Bradshaw's opener before being substituted in the 72nd minute.

Keegan Hartley - On loan at Guiseley in the Northern Premier League. The Lions' lost 2-1 at Bamber Bridge yesterday. Keegan was on the bench but came on as a 43rd minute substitute at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Will again started and played the whole game as Park Avenue extended their unbeaten run to five games with a 2-2 draw away at Farsley Celtic on New Year's Day. It was a great battling point for Will's team who had two penalties awarded against them and came from behind despite having to play for an hour with 10 men.

As stated above, Clarke Oduor's loan at Hartlepool has been terminated. Aaron Leya Iseka wasn't in action as the Turkish 2.Lig is on its Winter break now until 15th January. Obbi Oulare continues to try to regain fitness at RWDM Molenbeek:-

Good luck to Obbi. It's better for us if he's fit and firing out on loan and I wouldn't wish an injury on anyone.

In the last week both Will Lancaster (Bradford Park Avenue) and Keegan Hartley (Guiseley) have completed their loans. Josiah Dyer has commenced a loan spell with FC United of Manchester in the Northern Premier League.

This means that at this point in time there are four players currently out on loan, namely Josiah, Aaron Leya Iseka (Adanaspor - Turkish 2nd League), Obbi Oulare (RWD Molenbeek - Belgian 2nd League) and Callum Styles (Millwall - Championship). I'm sure there will be some changes as January progresses.

Josiah was the only one of the four to get a game this week as he came on as a 55th minute substitute for FC United yesterday and helped them turn a goal deficit round to get a 2-2 draw at home to Whitby Town.

Callum was not in Millwall's team for their FA Cup Third Round defeat due to an ankle injury. Both Aaron and Obbi's teams play in leagues currently on mid-season breaks, although Obbi remains sidelined for the foreseeable anyway. It's Obbi's birthday today!

Are you for real? Good luck to him. He’s done nowt but piss up our backs since he signed. I’d recall him and make him train on his own.

Let's buy him an injury as a present, he can use it when his current one heals up.

In the last week both Will Lancaster (Bradford Park Avenue) and Joe Ackroyd (Buxton) have gone back out on loans. This week's action for the players out on loan was as follows:-

Aaron Leya Iseka - On loan at Adanaspor in the Turkish second tier. Adanaspor won their first game back today after their league's Winter break, 1-0 away at Tuzla. ALI started and played 87 minutes up front and scored the only goal of the game in the 27th minute.

Callum Styles - On loan at Millwall in the Championship. Callum started and played the whole of Millwall's 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough. He was the left of the '2' in a 4-2-3-1 formation. (Alex Mowatt was an unused substitute for 'Boro).

Joe Ackroyd - On loan at Buxton in the National League North. Joe went straight into the Buxton team on Tuesday night and played 69 minutes in their 2-2 draw at home to Chorley. Yesterday, Joe played the first 57 minutes in Buxton's disappointing 2-0 home defeat to bottom club Telford. The score was 0-0 when Joe was withdrawn.

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. A full 90 minutes for Will as Park Avenue lost for the first time in seven games, 3-2 away at Spennymoor, on Saturday.

Josiah Dyer - On loan at FC United of Manchester in the Northern Premier League. Josiah was a 75th minute substitute and scored the final equalising goal in a thriller 4-4 draw for FCUM at home to high-flying Hyde United.

I won't mention Obbi Oulare (RWD Molenbeek - Belgian 2nd League) again until he returns from injury but just to say whatever has 'caused' his absences in the past, the fact is that the injury he sustained before this season is a torn anterior cruciate ligament, which I wouldn't wish on anyone.

If he does get fit and shows some form somewhere, there's more chance of somebody buying him off us, either in the summer or next January.

We especially need Iseka to do something to trigger some interest as well, we're stuck with his wages for another two years after this season.

He played 13 games on loan with Guiseley last season before he came back to us to make his debut. I don't think he's been back out on loan again since and seem to recall he picked up an injury in pre-season which has kept him out for a good while, unfortunately.

Yep, certainly some talent to work with - only just turned 20 in November so hope he can get back to full fitness and regular game time somewhere.

There is virtually nil chance of Obbi doing that
