Earlier this week Jasper Moon became the seventh Red to be out on loan currently. This week's action for the players out on loan was as follows:-

Aaron Leya Iseka - On loan at Adanaspor in the Turkish second tier. Aaron has picked up a groin injury and wasn't in the squad today as Adanaspor drew 2-2 at home in the league.

Callum Styles - On loan at Millwall in the Championship. Callum started and played nearly all of Millwall's 1-0 win at Cardiff before being substituted in second half added time. He was the left-back in Millwall's 4-2-3-1 this week.

Joe Ackroyd - On loan at Buxton in the National League North. Joe was an 87th minute substitute on Tuesday night as Buxton lost 1-0 at Adam Murray's table-topping Fylde. Buxton lost 1-0 again yesterday at home to Hereford and Joe was an unused substitute.

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. A full 90 minutes for Will as Park Avenue drew 1-1 away at Kidderminster on Saturday.

Josiah Dyer - On loan at FC United of Manchester in the Northern Premier League. FC United's game at South Shields yesterday was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

Jasper Moon - On loan at Burton Albion in League One. Burton's game at Lincoln yesterday was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

Earlier this week Kareem Hassan-Smith became the eighth Red to be out on loan currently. This week's action for the players out on loan was as follows:-

Aaron Leya Iseka - On loan at Adanaspor in the Turkish second tier. Aaron started and played 82 minutes up front for Adanaspor in their 2-1 home defeat to Bodrumspor earlier today. The score was 1-1 when Aaron went off with the visitors then netting an 89th minute winner.

Callum Styles - On loan at Millwall in the Championship. No game for Callum this week as Millwall were due to play Burnley in the league but due to Burnley still being involved in the FA Cup the fixture was postponed.

Joe Ackroyd - On loan at Buxton in the National League North. Joe started and played 86 minutes in Buxton's first win of 2023, 3-0 away at Blyth Spartans yesterday.

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Another full 90 minutes for Will as Park Avenue drew 0-0 at home to Chorley yesterday.

Josiah Dyer - On loan at FC United of Manchester in the Northern Premier League. Josiah was an unused substitute in FC United's 1-1 home draw against Warrington yesterday.

Jasper Moon - On loan at Burton Albion in League One. Jasper started and played the whole game for Burton yesterday as they beat Oxford United 2-0 at home. Jasper played as the left of the 3 centre backs in a 3-4-2-1 formation.

Kareem Hassan-Smith - On loan at Guiseley in the Northern Premier League. Kareem started Guiseley's game at home to league leaders Hyde United but unfortunately was sent off in the 40th minute with the score at 1-1. Hyde converted the resultant penalty and went on to win 3-2.

Obbi Oulare's RWD Molenbeek won again this weekend to go top of the Belgian second division and it's looking increasingly likely that they could get promoted to the top league which would probably make it less likely they would want to keep him, even if he does return to full fitness, I'd have thought. Luke Plange was not in RWDM's squad amid reports that Crystal Palace have recalled him, possibly to loan to an English League One club.

Annoying when you send players out on loan for game time and they don't get it.

This week the players out on loan were involved as follows:-

Aaron Leya Iseka - On loan at Adanaspor in the Turkish second tier. Aaron started and played 75 minutes up front for Adanaspor in their 1-0 win at Altay on Friday.

Callum Styles - On loan at Millwall in the Championship. Callum faces an estimated 12 weeks out having picked up a quad injury and so wasn't involved in Millwall's 1-1 draw at home to Sunderland yesterday.

Joe Ackroyd - On loan at Buxton in the National League North. Joe started and played 85 minutes in Buxton's excellent 1-0 win against the pre-game league leaders King's Lynn Town. By all accounts Joe had a great game including going close with a header and hitting the post with a shot.

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Another full 90 minutes for Will as Park Avenue suffered a tough 5-1 defeat at Gloucester City yesterday. Will also played the full game on Tuesday as Park Avenue ran King's Lynn Town close before falling to a 2-1 defeat away from home.

Josiah Dyer - On loan at FC United of Manchester in the Northern Premier League. Josiah started and played the full 90 minutes in FC United's 1-0 defeat at Matlock Town yesterday.

Jasper Moon - On loan at Burton Albion in League One. Jasper started and played the whole game for Burton yesterday as they won 3-2 away at Fleetwood to climb out of the bottom four. Jasper played as the left of the 3 centre backs in a 3-4-2-1 formation again. Rumoured Reds' target before transfer deadline day, Tom Hamer, scored the Brewers' second.

Kareem Hassan-Smith - On loan at Guiseley in the Northern Premier League. Following his sending off last week Kareem missed Guiseley's 4-2 win at Marske United yesterday.

Earlier this week Charlie Winfield became the ninth Red to be out on loan currently. This week's action for the players out on loan was as follows:-

Aaron Leya Iseka - On loan at Adanaspor in the Turkish second tier. Understandably all sports fixtures in Turkey have been suspended whilst the country deals with the consequences of the devastating earthquake and so no game for Aaron this week. Adana itself is around 200 kilometres from the epicentre of the earthquake and in the affected zone, receiving some substantial damage, unfortunately.

Joe Ackroyd - On loan at Buxton in the National League North. Joe started and played almost all of Buxton's 0-0 draw at Kettering yesterday before being substituted in second half added time.

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Another full 90 minutes for Will as Park Avenue secured a 3-1 home win against Leamington yesterday, the visitors having two sent off with the score at 2-0.

Josiah Dyer - On loan at FC United of Manchester in the Northern Premier League. Josiah came on at half-time in both of FC United's games this week, a 1-0 home win against Guiseley on Tuesday and a 2-0 defeat at Lancaster City yesterday.

Jasper Moon - On loan at Burton Albion in League One. Jasper started and played the whole game for Burton yesterday as they won 1-0 at home to Exeter City. That's three wins from three, including two clean sheets, since Jasper joined Burton. Jasper played as the left of the 3 centre backs in a 3-4-2-1 formation again and was the sponsors' Player of the Match. Burton's winning goal was scored by Sam Winnall.

Kareem Hassan-Smith - On loan at Guiseley in the Northern Premier League. Kareem wasn't in the Guiseley squad for either their 1-0 defeat at FC United of Manchester on Tuesday or their 4-0 win at home to Stafford Rangers yesterday.

Charlie Winfield - On loan at Alfreton in the National League North. Good start for Charlie with a full 90 minutes at left-back and a clean sheet as his team drew 0-0 away at Hereford yesterday.

Late edit! - Obbi Oulare - On loan at RWD Molenbeek in the Belgian second tier. Obbi made his seasonal bow for RWDM yesterday evening in a 1-0 away win at Beerschot. The win takes RWDM 3 points clear at the top of the league. Obbi came on in the 78th minute and was booked 9 minutes later.

Callum Styles (Millwall) remains side-lined with injury.

In the wake of the earthquake it appears that Aaron Leya Iseka's Turkish team Adanaspor, which is based in the city of Adana in the affected area, are withdrawing from their games for the rest of this season. I don't know if that means that ALI will be returning to Oakwell or if he'll be allowed to play for us or go on loan elsewhere given the circumstances. (Apologies for poor translation).

Wondering if that is the first time a player has ever been booked for taking a nap on the playing field.

He probably forgot to do up his bootlaces, not being used to wearing boots obviously. Knelt down on the half way line to do them up and one of the opposition fell over him, writhing in agony. Clear booking :D

This week's action for the players out on loan was as follows:-

Aaron Leya Iseka - On loan at Adanaspor in the Turkish second tier. As mentioned above football in Turkey remains suspended following the earthquake and Adanaspor's Board have made the decision to withdraw from the current season. It's unclear at this stage what the immediate future holds for ALI.

Joe Ackroyd - On loan at Buxton in the National League North. Buxton's impressive run (four wins and a draw with no goals conceded) since Joe got into their starting eleven continued this week with two 1-0 wins, firstly at Leamington on Tuesday and then at home to Southport yesterday. Joe played the whole game on Valentine's and 66 minutes before being substituted on Saturday.

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Another full 90 minutes for Will but a tough day at the office for Park Avenue as they lost 4-1 at Brackley Town, despite taking an early lead.

Josiah Dyer - On loan at FC United of Manchester in the Northern Premier League. Josiah was an unused substitute for FC United's 1-1 home draw with Stalybridge Celtic yesterday.

Jasper Moon - On loan at Burton Albion in League One. Two games also for Burton this week with Jasper starting and playing the whole game in both their 1-0 defeat at Portsmouth on Tuesday and their 2-1 win at Bristol Rovers yesterday. Jasper continues to be deployed as the left of the 3 centre backs in a 3-4-2-1 formation. Burton's winning goal at Bristol was again scored by Sam Winnall and left Mr Barton typically very bitter :D “A team that has very little adventure in it.” “Centre-halves in midfield, relatively straight-forward from back to front.” “Try every trick in the book.” “Teams that do that have to because of a lack of football ability, a lack of football ideology.”

Kareem Hassan-Smith - On loan at Guiseley in the Northern Premier League. Kareem wasn't in the Guiseley squad for either their 1-0 victory at Matlock on Tuesday or their 0-0 draw at Warrington yesterday.

Charlie Winfield - On loan at Alfreton in the National League North. Charlie wasn't in the Alfreton squad for their 1-0 win at home to Telford United yesterday.

Obbi Oulare - On loan at RWD Molenbeek in the Belgian second tier. The Belgian Division B is on a week's break before resuming next weekend so Obbi will have been able to have plenty of rest after his 12 minutes of activity last week.

Callum Styles (Millwall) remains side-lined with injury.

I reckon if Obbi can find a league with a rest week every fortnight he might have a decent career.

First of all this week an addition to last week's round-up as Keegan Hartley went on loan to FC United of Manchester on Friday 17th February and played the full game in their 1-1 draw at home to Stalybridge a day later, winning the FCUM Player of the Match award along the way.

This week's action for the players out on loan:-

Joe Ackroyd - On loan at Buxton in the National League North. Buxton's unbeaten run extended to seven since Joe got into their starting eleven with two away draws against higher placed sides this week. On Tuesday Joe played the whole game and scored his team's goal in a 1-1 draw at Darlington and yesterday Joe again played the full game in a 2-2 draw at Chorley. Joe's goal is about 1 minute 40 seconds into these highlights MATCH HIGHLIGHTS | Darlington - Buxton | 21/02/23 - YouTube

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Will played the full 90 minutes last Monday in a relegation 'six-pointer' at home to Blyth Spartans in which the away side took a priceless 1-0 win. Will was substituted on 64 minutes in yesterday's game at home to Chester FC with Park Avenue leading 1-0 and unfortunately the away team then scored two late goals to take a 2-1 win. The two defeats leave Park Avenue second from bottom with a tough game against Scarborough up next.

Jasper Moon - On loan at Burton Albion in League One. Jasper started and played the whole game in Burton's 0-0 draw at home to Accrington Stanley yesterday. Jasper continues to be deployed as the left of the 3 centre backs in a 3-4-2-1 formation and a settled defence has played a big part in the Brewers' recent form. Togetherness has been the key for Brewers recruits - Staffordshire Live (staffordshire-live.co.uk) Incidentally, Sam Winnall has incurred another injury which will end his season.

Charlie Winfield - On loan at Alfreton in the National League North. Charlie wasn't in the Alfreton squad for either their 2-0 defeat at Scarborough Athletic (which included a Michael Coulson goal) on Tuesday or their 1-0 win at Curzon Ashton yesterday.

Keegan Hartley - On loan at FC United of Manchester in the Northern Premier League. Keegan started and played the whole of FCUM's 0-0 draw away at Warrington Rylands yesterday.

Obbi Oulare - On loan at RWD Molenbeek in the Belgian second tier. After his 12 minutes of activity a fortnight ago Obbi didn't make the final squad of 18 for RWDM's 3-1 home win against Lierse this evening.

Kareem Hassan-Smith - On loan at Guiseley in the Northern Premier League. Kareem wasn't in the Guiseley squad for either their 0-0 draw at home to Lancaster City on Tuesday or their 3-1 loss at home to Radcliffe Borough yesterday. Kareem's one month loan spell is scheduled to come to an end on Monday.

Callum Styles (Millwall) remains side-lined with injury. Aaron Leya Iseka's Turkish loan team Adanaspor have pulled out of their league after the earthquake and we await to see if another club can be found for him. There hasn't been an official announcement afaik but Josiah Dyer seems to have returned to Oakwell from his loan at FC United of Manchester as he played up front for our table-topping U18s in their 2-0 win at Sheffield United yesterday.

This week's action for the players out on loan:-

Joe Ackroyd - On loan at Buxton in the National League North. Buxton's fine run continued this week (now 9 unbeaten with Joe) after a 1-1 draw away at leaders King's Lynn on Tuesday and a 2-1 home win against Gloucester City yesterday. Joe started both games, playing 62 minutes at King's Lynn and 85 minutes yesterday.

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Will has joined Park Avenue's long list of absentees. Prior to last Monday's game at Scarborough they had 11 players injured and a Covid outbreak to deal with! They requested a postponement but were refused by the league. Credit to them then that they were able to obtain a 0-0 draw on the coast with a side made up with several academy players and including the 41 year old assistant manager on the bench. Will didn't therefore play in the Scarborough game, nor yesterday's 1-0 defeat at Peterborough Sports which leaves them next to bottom and firmly in an uphill relegation struggle.

Danny Benson - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Danny joined Park Avenue in the midst of their injury crisis, linking up with the team only an hour or two before the game at Scarborough last Monday. He went straight into the starting eleven at centre back and played well as Park Avenue picked up a 0-0 draw against the odds. Danny was needed at Oakwell for the U21 game on Friday and so not available to Park Avenue for yesterday's 1-0 defeat at Peterborough Sports.

Jasper Moon - On loan at Burton Albion in League One. Jasper started and played 77 minutes before being substituted in Burton's 4-0 loss at Ipswich yesterday (two of the home side's goals coming from ex-Red Conor Chaplin).

Charlie Winfield - On loan at Alfreton in the National League North. Charlie wasn't in the Alfreton squad for their 2-2 home draw with Darlington yesterday and his loan spell is due to finish on Friday next week.

Keegan Hartley - On loan at FC United of Manchester in the Northern Premier League. Keegan started FCUM's 3-2 defeat at home to Liversedge yesterday. Keegan was substituted at half-time.

Paul Cooper - On loan at Ossett United in the Northern Premier League Division One East. Keeper Paul played the whole game as Ossett lost 3-0 at home to Long Eaton United yesterday.

Obbi Oulare - On loan at RWD Molenbeek in the Belgian second tier. Obbi wasn't in the 18 as leaders RWDM lost their top two clash at SK Beveren 2-1 yesterday. The RWDM management have said that Obbi 'isn't ready for a game of this intensity yet'.

Aaron Leya Iseka - On loan at Tuzlaspor in the Turkish second tier. Aaron joined Tuzla this week after leaving Adanaspor who pulled out of the same division following the earthquake. After just joining up Aaron wasn't included in Tuzla's squad for their 1-0 home win against Genclerbirligi yesterday.

Callum Styles (Millwall) remains side-lined with injury. Josiah Dyer is back from loan at FC United of Manchester and playing in the U18s and Kareem Hassan-Smith's loan spell at Guiseley has also been completed.

I think he'd struggle with the intensity of over 60s walking football.

This week's action for the players out on loan:-

Joe Ackroyd - On loan at Buxton in the National League North. Buxton continued to go from strength to strength this week (now 11 unbeaten with Joe). On Tuesday they held Adam Murray's league leaders Fylde to a 2-2 draw at home and yesterday won 3-1 at Banbury United. Joe started both matches, playing 69 minutes against Fylde and the whole game against Banbury. He also scored the second goal yesterday in the 39th minute - brief highlights:-

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Will unfortunately continued to be side-lined and so missed Park Avenue's disappointing 4-0 defeat at Telford United in the battle of the bottom two on Tuesday night. Park Avenue's scheduled game at home to Alfreton Town yesterday was postponed until tomorrow due to the weather.

Danny Benson - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Danny came on as a half-time substitute in Park Avenue's 4-0 loss at bottom club Telford United on Tuesday (it was 3-0 at half-time). As mentioned above, their game yesterday was postponed.

Jasper Moon - On loan at Burton Albion in League One. Jasper started and played the whole game in Burton's 2-1 home win yesterday against our next opponents, Wycombe, a victory all the more notable as the Brewers played the second half with ten men after a 45th minute sending off.

Keegan Hartley - On loan at FC United of Manchester in the Northern Premier League. Keegan started and played 55 minutes in FCUM's 1-0 defeat at Atherton Collieries yesterday, making and nearly taking the away side's best strike on goal.

Paul Cooper - On loan at Ossett United in the Northern Premier League Division One East. Keeper Paul played the whole game as Ossett won 3-1 at Stocksbridge Park on Tuesday. Ossett's game yesterday was a victim of the weather.

Obbi Oulare - On loan at RWD Molenbeek in the Belgian second tier. Obbi was again not in the squad of 18 for RWDM's 3-2 win at home to Club NXT (FC Bruges' U23 team) this afternoon.

Aaron Leya Iseka - On loan at Tuzlaspor in the Turkish second tier. Aaron started his first game for his new loan club Tuzlaspor, played 67 minutes and scored the winner from the penalty spot as they beat Boluspor 1-0 at home yesterday. Highlights of the game here (with the penalty incident running from around 1 minute 15 seconds in to about 4 minutes 30):-

Callum Styles (Millwall) remains side-lined with injury. Not seen anything official but Charlie Winfield's one month loan period at Alfreton Town has now completed.

This week's action for the players out on loan:-

Joe Ackroyd - On loan at Buxton in the National League North. Yesterday Buxton stretched their excellent unbeaten run to 12 games since Joe got in their starting eleven with a 2-0 home win against Farsley Celtic. Joe started the game and played 61 minutes with Buxton's first goal coming from one-time Red Jak McCourt.

Will Lancaster - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Will returned to the Park Avenue team yesterday and played the whole game as they went down 1-0 away at Boston United.

Danny Benson - On loan at Bradford Park Avenue in the National League North. Danny was an unused substitute in the aforementioned 1-0 defeat for Park Avenue at Boston.

Jasper Moon - On loan at Burton Albion in League One. Two games for Jasper in the last week as Burton lost 5-2 at home to Peterborough on Tuesday and won 3-2 at Port Vale yesterday. Jasper started and played the whole of both games.

Keegan Hartley - On loan at FC United of Manchester in the Northern Premier League. Two games also for FC United in the last week starting with an excellent 2-1 win away at leaders South Shields on Tuesday where Keegan was an 88th minute substitute. FC United couldn't repeat the midweek high and fell to a 3-0 home defeat to Marine yesterday. Keegan was again on the bench and came on as a 68th minute substitute with the score at 2-0.

Paul Cooper - On loan at Ossett United in the Northern Premier League Division One East. Keeper Paul played the whole game as Ossett drew 1-1 at Consett yesterday.

Jack Butterfill - Jack has gone out on a month's youth loan in the last week also to Ossett United. Jack started the 1-1 draw at Consett before being withdrawn at half-time.

Obbi Oulare - On loan at RWD Molenbeek in the Belgian second tier. Obbi was again not in the squad of 18 for RWDM's 4-0 win away at RSCA Futures (Anderlecht's U23 team) yesterday. It's looking almost certain that RWDM will be promoted to the Belgian top division now as they have 13 points in hand with 6 games left.

Aaron Leya Iseka - On loan at Tuzlaspor in the Turkish second tier. Aaron played the full 90 minutes up front for Tuzlaspor as they lost 2-1 away at Altinordu on Friday.

Callum Styles (Millwall) remains side-lined with injury.
