Just been to walk the dog and vote. Hope there is a decent turnout some of our ancestors died so that we could enjoy universal suffrage.
I've been passed St Paul's church polling station today, and it was dead. I *hope* everyone has voted by post.
As we learned from covid, just because the tories make the rules doesn't mean they think they have to live by them.
Didn’t want to vote for any of Labour, Tory, Lib Dem’s or Reform so didn’t bother. I was hoping there would be a decent independent or even a Green candidate in my area but unfortunately there wasn’t. Feel a bit weird not voting but I’d feel dirty voting for any of them four.
Can we have the names and addresses of the CONservative voters so we can put them on a plane to Rwanda that wonderful safe haven.
Am I reading into this that Nathan is standing for election?? Knew that lad when he was in his teens, I worked for his mam and dad! Seriously gifted fella the way he's turned the Brudenell into the venue it is and promoted the brand, and he saw the potential so early. I was behind the bar when they got Franz Ferdinand, which was the first time they got a decent sized crowd in there. So happy to see him go well.
Voted Labour here in North Yorkshire and spent most of the day out knocking on doors drumming up support. Would be great to win in Rishi's back yard!
He'll have been trying to convince them to let him through cos he's a public figure so he could use it as evidence for election fraud.
She further clarified that as, from him starting at 9am. But still, 3 people in half an hour at what is probably a busy time in a busy area is still abysmal.
I'd love to move there but OH isn't interested. I grew up with Leeds being the nearest 'big' town so it's sort of home despite living in Sheff and then Wombwell for the last 20 years. Far more going on there than Sheffield and as much as I love Barnsley, there just isn't the culture on tap that Leeds offers and it's a ball ache having to drive to gigs and not have a beer.
Great night for the Greens proving once again you don’t need to vote Labour to get rid of the Tories.
Having had a lifelong interest in politics, studied it at A level, read various magazines and newspapers for years and years, been a member of a political party, I have now come to the conclusion that if our system can allow Boris Johnson to legitimately become Prime Minister then I'm done with it. Didn't vote yesterday and won't be voting in the GE.
Tiptoe through the ponte, with your boots on, and get your head kicked in. Oh tiptoe through the ponte with me.
