So Scotland can say tomorrow, but Boris gives the loons 24 hours to go crazy in supermarkets even tho they're open as usual.
I wasn’t there that day, but I thought I’d read that the medical staff of both teams had been important in saving Stephen’s life that day (and s dr from the crowd?) and never read anything about the ambulance staff on site. Not saying they didn’t, just that I don’t recall reading about it. Logic tells me that an ambulance on site can get to hospital quicker than an ambulance called to the ground can then get back to hospital, but the ambulance in the ground is never used.
He announced we’ve entered a state of lockdown. Not a period of lockdown - a state of lockdown. You are dreaming if you think you are ever getting your lives back as you knew them.
I'm in Asda now, trying to beat the panic buyers. Got a trolley full of arse paper, lettuces and flour.
Parliament previously approved the right of the secretary of state to make law by secondary legislation, so that's not strictly correct. But the Commons will be given a chance to approve/disapprove it on Wednesday.
The ambulance staff on site took over and I think Vicki or Craig said that they were really just assisting the at Johns staff. Also the ambulance at the ground is used if needed. The reason they don't tend to is simply that by the time they've given first aid and stabilised the patient a new one has arrived.
Seriously are you ok? I know we have our differences but your posts are becoming more extreme and angry bordering on irrational. Calm down. No point getting worked up over something you have no control over. Moreover your current state could impact the wellbeing of those close to you and around you. Take a step back.
It's because it's absolutely pathetic that the utter selfish ******** with their protected jobs keep calling for this without giving two ***** about the result it has on other people. We've got one on here in a protected industry who was arguing every day about how much lockdown was needed how extreme it all was and yet the second pubs were opened he was posting about how he had been out drinking a few times. I'm sock of it. I'm sock of those who turn s blind eye to the fact we are harming children so much and that we are causing people to lose their jobs. They pretend they care but they do not.
You can care about kids suffering and folks losing their jos but still think its the best way to avoid more deaths.
Of course the job losses would be avoidable if the goverment acted more responsibly - take France for example - A hotel my wife visits every year with a group of disabled skiiers (though not this January obviously) isnt worried as the goverment has forced the to close they are being properly compensated and so will be able to pay their staff and still be viable when they can open again later - compare with how our goverment is behavig - its almost as if they have an agenda to destroy Britain
Stress is often caused by feelings of helplessness and not being in control of your own life. ,(Been there and got the tee shirt). Something we have in bucket loads ATM. In a conventional war anger can channelled towards an enemy. The problem here is there is an invisible enemy. The true target of our anger should be the virus. Instead we have to have a surrogate. That in the UK is Government and it's leader. Not to say the theme throughout has not been indecision confusion and mismanagement but as I said before stressing over the lack of control of a situation harms you and those around you and is counter productive. Stay safe and look afte yourself.
Speaking of hotels absolutely criminal that we have hotels up and down the country sat empty and elderly people forced to live and mix with younger family. Radical idea. Move them into hotels. Pay the hotelier a nice sum and test anyone who goes in.
