I should point out that while I live in a house likely worth 2.5 - 3m punds, I actually rent a modest part of that for a price that would have most of you **** bricks and turn ferrel.
While I fancy a move back north, it would be hard for me to find employment in an area I'd want to live. As an artist I'm tapped into a decently wealthy client base here, it would be ideal for me to keep a base here and a lovely cottage up on the moors towards Whitby. Dreeee -ee-ee- eeeeam, etc.

I'm sure Mr Ozil is a nice guy, he's certainly a great footballer, but I don't think he would claim to be the last word on this particular subject. Neither am I. No one is really, it's all subjective, but there definitely are people out there, people who have travelled extensively, who write about travel and different cities for a living, who are much more qualified than you, me or Mr Ozil in this area, and I've never heard any of them claim London to be the most beautiful city in the world. To be fair to Mesut, it was an off the cuff remark, said to illustrate how happy he his here, how much he likes his new home town and how settled he is with his new club and surroundings. He didn't intend the comment to be scrutinised so intently and I think he'd be a bit put out if he knew it was now being used in an argument attempting to pour scorn on the cities of his home country.

For what it's worth, I think some parts of London are beautiful. I think most people would agree, unless they've got a chip on their shoulder about the place and are deliberately trying to run it down. However, there are other parts that certainly are not. Taken as a whole, I don't think London could possibly claim to be one of the most beautiful cities in the world. One of the most vibrant and cosmopolitan, without doubt, but it's just too big, too industrial, and been allowed to evolve without any central plan, any single vision to be considered wholly beautiful. It's a living, working, ramshackle place that can charm you then scare the hell out of you from one street to the next.

Unlike you, I've travelled through Germany a couple of times where there genuinely are some beautiful towns and cities. I'd urge anyone who hasn't been to check out our twin town, Schwäbisch Gmünd, which really is beautiful, yet typical of so many German small towns.

I know you like a good discussion Hemsworth, but I don't think you're aware of how you present yourself when you claim one thing is so much better than the other, when you have little or no experience of either. If someone started telling you why a Ferrari is so much better than a Porsche, would you take on board what they said if you found out they had never driven either car?

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

Some parts of it are spectacular, but a lot of it is an uncoordinated, sprawling, embarrassing dump. It's not even close to being the most beautiful city in England.

I'm sure there's a point scoring idea behind this post, but is it worth pointing out that Ozil lives in London and gets paid f**king huge amounts of money by Arsenal, who are in the Premier League? No? Thought not.

If it was Darren Gough, I suspect so
