H/T there is no way on earth you can say that the average footballer is anything other than dim.
There are some exceptions but they are few and far between.

    No there not.

from what ive been told most of them are smart.

you mess around at training and dont think about school and you'll not be in football past 14/15.

at oakwell they have 100% i think pass rate of u18 a level work.

remember watching that idol thing with inter milan, they had to do a lot off the pitch.

    So...
A 21 year old lad, who was the catalyst for our decent start to the season, and captain, is "actually", a greedy, thick lovely person? And, not good enough for the Premier League?
He's twice the player that Gareth Barry or Stewart Downing will ever be, and they're England regulars.
The fcukin ******** I read on ere about Jacob is frankly that - ********. You know **** all.
If any of you KNOW him - fair enough. Until then, I am happy to know a lot more than you.
Good luck Jake, tha better off away lad

So you think he should go because he's too good for Barnsley, I don't know him but I know I'd swap him for Barry or Downing. I think he should stop listening to the hype ,in part encouraged by Hill, get fit and prove himself over a season in the Championship

I don't know how you can suggest that footballers are on the whole smart. In order to make it as a footballer it takes a great amount of focus from the age of 13 or so. When your entire focus is on becoming a pro footballer, I doubt you give 2 hoots about your history homework. Plus the most critical point infootball development is around the same time as their GCSEs. What do you think they will be concentrating most on? I don't blame them for that approach at all, but to suggest they are above average in terms of intelligence when they will have had to sacrifice so much schoolwork can't be right.
