And we are back to the hyperbole and it'll be the end of the world it'll be ***** but we will get over it. I can't say I've enjoyed many of the last 100 plus games since Robins left we have been abysmal particularly away from home is poor unless you go to different away games from me.

Quite how anyone thinks it is enjoyable to watch their team win 4 times all season baffles me.

Really, I enjoyed the second half of last season and some of the first part as well. You seem to think it will be ok for us in league 1. Following the last relegation we were so down we almost got relegated again, who can forget Isiaah Rankin's late goal that saved us.

My experiences tell me its better in this league that league 1. Also, haven't the club said somewhere that relegation would cost £6 million?

I don't say it's better I'd say it's not the end of the world. I'd rather watch a decent team win a few games than this perpetual struggle to try and keep money. Like I said Donny seemed to not disappear in the ether neither gave Peterborough. When we got relegated last time we were financially insecure and badly run now we are one of the tightest run clubs in the league times are very different.

This season. We were awful for much of last season. We had a brief run of success under Flitcroft which was refreshing. Then went on to win only 2 out of the last 11. Overall last season was awful for vast chunks and we were a poor team. The season before was much the same we had a purple patch of a few months but were abysmal the rest of the time.

Donny are not a financially sustainable club at the moment. Before relegation they got nearer to 10,000 home fans, they have had sub-6000 crowds this season. They are struggling to get back the crowds they had before relegation. Losing £6 million wouldn't make us Financially secure and the purse strings would be cut accordingly. Who says we would be a decent team at that level?

Last few seasons would you rather be a Peterborough Fan or a Barnsley fan purely in terms of being entertained.

If we went down I think we would have an ok team probably top 10. Play some of our young talented players instead of never given them a chance because we are perpetually fire fighting. No wouldn't expect us to get promotion but I'd expected us to be competitive. Given the way football is financed I'd put our natural level about top 10 in league 1 in terms of support/finances etc. what makes you think it would be all doom and gloom.

I would always want to be a Barnsley fan so that's a daft question. We tried the play all the promising home-grown youngsters thing in league 1 last time, I remember 1 game when we had about 6 promising home grown lads in, we got mullered. Their confidence shot and went on to do not much really. Ask Sheff Utd fans if they're happy in league one, my workmate is a Blade he hates every second of league 1. If teams competitiveness in that league breeds happiness amongst fans then why all the Euphoria when they get promoted out of there? Past experiences and talking to fans of clubs who have been relegated in recent seasons doesn't give me confidence that we would be good, competitive or even enjoy being in league 1. Given the way football is financed, i'd fancy us to be a Championship club every time. Just dream of being 1 promotion away from the Premiership.

I meant which set of fans had more fun going to games. Given the way football is financed we clearly struggle to be a championship club. The days of the faithful four thousand keeping us a viable championship club are long gone again do you think in terms of financing etc we are anything other than a top 10 League 1 club.

It's clear all this hand wringing is just part of the Sky generation of fans view of football. Is relegation pleasant? Clearly not. Are we too big a club to get relegated? Clearly not? Will it be all doom and gloom? clearly not. Will it be a walk in the park to come back up? Clearly not. I think after my first match at Oakwell we sat second from the bottom of the old division 4 with crowds ridiculously low so there will have been progress.

Agreed, when you're not on the wind-up you talk a lot of sense.
