I'd love another striker. Like Winnall. I'm sure the club would too. A striker like that would make a huge difference. However there's people on here working themselves into a frenzy because we've not signed Ennis who averaged one in four in his best spell and has gone to a club with more cash than us anyway. He's no Winnall.
Well Fleetwood aren't a great team or a supplier of great players. I am not saying Early is bad but honestly i can't see him being any better than lopata, hopefully now we have signed him i am proved wrong. If not tome we are spending good money for nothing
Because he really isn't the best we have. He is slower than the ones we have, and that's saying something! He's look heavy-legged since he came back from injury. Add onto that the signings of Pines and Earl - Pines who is apparently like lightening and Earl, who the Fleetwood fans have today described as a "Rolls-Royce". He wouldn't have played again this season. A loan move away for game time is perfect for him.
Not convinced it’s as black and white as anyone gets a final say TBH. Thinks it’s a very fluid decision with lots of moving parts. If he said absolutely no way then I can’t see why they would sign him equally if he went I only want John Stones the money men aren’t gonna sign that off.
Obviously Collins feels he isn't our best defender because a lad who came from Pontefract is ahead of him and a RB. He's barely played so this is the best move for him imo. MDG has been head and shoulders above any defender we have, and with Pines, McCart and Earl coming in, would have been even harder for Lopata to get game time mate.
Isn't it time to start a few more threads about this subject ?. Maybe hes had a fall out with Collins, which is a shame if its true.
I'm a fan of Lopaka but lets be right here.Lopaka signed from a non league team and did very well, then he had an injury. He now can't get straight back in to the starting 11.We've signed another centre half with far more experience 80 odd games at Championship level and you're cribbing about it. The aim of this window is to make us stronger for the run in.Think about it.
Regardless of my opinion on lopata as I see it Earl benefits from being left footed which is an area we need strength. also sending him out to a team in our league is good experience so he might even come back a more complete player than he would sitting on the bench for us.
Can't really base it on who we sign the player from. Loparta's last club was Woking! Comments from Preston fans I've seen on social media seem to rate Earl highly, and they wish they'd not released him. The fact that he can play LCB, LB and LWB means he seems to be a proper replacement for Kitching, and as Collins says, gives the option of changing systems because of his versatility. I have to say, I've seen very little on Loparta. But on what I have if him, he looked like he not only lacked pace, but a basic ability to even move. Given that, I can't see how he can play anywhere in the back 3 other than in the middle. The idea of him against wide forwards is a scary one. And it could be that Pines and MDG, maybe even Earl and McCart are seen as better options than him there.
Which again begs the question why did we recruit him? Think it highlights how poor our summer recruitment was once again.
Are we leaving ourselves a bit short on CB's across the squad? Pines MdG McCart Earl That's it now isn't it? To cover 3 positions. An injury here, suspension there and we're at bare bones again. Williams can play there again I suppose, but I'd rather be seeing him at RWB.
