    If his mantra was 'we are over achieving' - well he was right, wasn't he? I don't think it was panic - it was a decent understanding of the ability of his squad. He got 110% out of them then, much the same as he has this year. If anything he is both realistic and honest with the fans - some people want him to be unrealistic and lie, and dress that up as 'motivation'.
