If it was entirely up to me I'd let anyone aged 16+ vote, but every person that voted would have to demonstrate some level of knowledge as to what they are voting for. The amount of people that vote and haven't got a clue what they're voting for is crazy. I don't expect people to know the manifesto policy for policy but they should have some idea. It's probably impossible in practice but I'd like to see it happen in an ideal world.
Strange how a matter of a few months ago during the Shamima Begum 'dust up' over stripping her of citizenship JC waded in with the fact she was a victim and like many young people 15-16 groomed as they were young and impressionable, naive and so were not fully responsible for their actions. The argument that grooming someone to join IS and voting in an election are hugely different is irrelevant. Impressionable, easily manipulated and naive is what it is but now, suddenly Corbyn wants to give these 16 year old naive, young and impressionable kids the vote. I wonder why ?
I think they should do anything that maximises the chance of a Labour government lead by Jeremy Corbyn.
You seem to be describing most 50+ year old blokes on my facebook, the generation that got duped by a f'cking bus.
