Spot on, as usual. It's games like that that make or break a promotion campaign. I know its been done to death, but for me that was exactly the kind of game where an experienced outfield player could have helped settle some nerves. Nevertheless the kids dug in and did the business, so what would I know? Very frustrating to watch, but all came good in the end, and thankful for the 3 points. We're in for a tense end to the season, that's for sure. Having said that, if we win again next week, it'll feel like we're in the driving seat, despite the mathematics saying otherwise. COYR!
Got to be honest, I never ever feel confident when we play Coventry City. My mate where I worked hails from the city and never misses an opportunity to remind me that they are our bogey team. Beat them at Oakwell next Saturday and I will be a little more relaxed entering the home straight. Every game between now and the first week in May is massive and gets the old nerves jangling. However I much prefer the tension of being near the top of the league to that when we are floundering in or around the relegation zone. Whatever the final outcome on the 4th May , there's no denying that this group of " young 'uns " have given it a right go.
Just going from memory, I think our home record from the Premiership era to date is good, although I don’t think their have been that many meetings between us.
Ive been thinking all year that someone is for a real hammering. However with our injuries and suspensions of late must be 3 to 5 first teamers out every match, im more than satisfied with the likes of yesterdays result, 4 more like that and we will be up.....automatic.
