I’ll be honest, I think he’s been fairly poor this season, particularly Reading away, but he was excellent last season and he can definitely get back to that and produce even more. He’ll have a good career will Killian and I wish him all the best. Another body we need to replace though.
He’s a decent kid good attitude and will probably have a great career but at the minute like a lot of our players he promises a lot but delivers little ie final ball and cross other than the Chaplin goal against Blackburn I’ll give him that.
I would have hoped that we would have it in a contract that it was a season long loan with no recall/sane option. Sadly it's not. Maybe that was a condition of the loan. Ah well, add a right back to the list.
Are you sure that was meant as a response to my post? Because I'm struggling to correlate them. Of course there's been good & bad. But this is a risk that comes with signing good loan players as we've seen before so you can kinda get why there's a reluctance. YOu sEE whAT I MEaN
Of course it's a response to you. You're being one of the cool kids with the capital letters having a go at those who wanted a few loan signings. I simply pointed out that the correct loan signings do work. Then you seem to have SpAT oUt tHE DumMY
Christ I've missed this place. And as I pointed out - the correct ones come with risk and that's bitten us this time. So you can see why there's potentially reticence to do it. Which bit do you disagree with? Because I agree with you.
The squad is so much weaker than the squad that avoided relegation in the 95th minute of the last game of the season. Not good.
The loan deal could still stand if he’s been bought for their development squad , Just owned by a different club but same conditions imo .
If he's on loan, wouldn't he stay with us (contractually) until that expires and then return to his new club at the end of the year?
We've managed to sign players that we didn't particularly need. Helik is a handy signing, given the Diaby situation, but we've got Halme as backup already and Williams has played in a back three. Christie-Davies seemingly wont be ready to play for a while, so not much use to us. Not sure what we signed Frieser for if he's not the sort of CF we need. (But could see him doing ok on the right of a front three or midfield four.) At least with last season's scattergun approach, you could see that they were all about resale value. This year we've signed players with more experience, but in positions that we didn't really need them. Same last year when we signed Ritz to play in Mowatt's position
I can see tonights Sky Sports Ticker tape now ........ "Shalke have completed the signing of Saltzberg defender Killian Ludewig, who has been on loan at Barnsley, and immediately loaned him to Stoke City for the remainder of the season"
