That settles it then. Certainly can't blame him for leaving. Never understood the criticism he's received, model pro who loved the club and deserves his change to play at a higher level.

One of my favourite ever Barnsley players - very sad to see him leave.

I don't blame him for going though - play at a higher level, explore a different country, learn a new language, maybe get a few games in Europe. Best of luck if you see this, Luke!

I'm sad Luke's leaving, but wish him the best for his future. Personally, I believe he's one of the best goalkeepers I've seen play for us since I started out as a fan in the 1960's. He's now got the opportunity to experience his football & life in another country which no one would surely begrudge him, with the possibility of playing either Champions League or Europa League as well.
Good luck, Luke, and thank you.

Glad to have been at Anfield for the best debut i've ever seen from one of our players. Happy to have been one of the 300 and odd at Reading to have seen the rarity of a keeper saving two penalites in the same match and "Steele is Superman" being sung. Can't fault him for probably taking a payrise, playing top flight football and champions league too. Better weather as well. Hopefully they get through to the group stages so he gets the chance to play at some of the top sides in Europe.
