We do have a good team, it's just so unbalanced, which is flickers fault on the recruitment, we have no pace, no width. Where crying out for a fast winger IMO. I prefer digby to Perkins, hope Danny gives him a chance.

Is Steele that good a keeper?

    Has anyone seen the stats.

I could ******* piss at threads like this.

Let's belittle and undermine one of our players, smashing idea.

If you think Steele's ****, fair enough, but it's just your opinion. It means absolutely **** all in the grand scheme of things. Stats will prove **** all - Gordon Banks' stats would look shocking playing behind some of the defenders and midfielders we've had to put up with whilst Steele's been our keeper.

I think you need to have a look at how keepers stats are put together. It's not just about goals conceded or clean sheets.

Butland does pull off some top class saves but does seem inexperienced. I'd have no qualms about Steele going back between the sticks if Butland's loan isn't extended - sounds like he wants a Premier League move, I don't think he'll get one, not one where he actually plays anyway.

They're the only stats that concern me. If he's making saves and not conceding many goals, he'll do for me. But then, I'm old school like that. I fully accept that in this modern era the keeper now has to be able to create goals as well as doing adverts for shampoo and the like.
