Wonder if 'we' dont want to sign experience for fear of not being able to manage them? just a thought.
RE: Wonder if 'we' dont want to sign experience I think most managers would rather not deal with "difficult" players. Younger players are more receptive to ideas and less likely to challenge the gaffers insistence on playing head tennis 24/7
It's more like: DH: You want a box for this game? I'll do you a deal? TFP: Nope. Are we signing anyone? DH: I've no idea. TFP: But you must know something - you work there. DH: I've no idea. I like quad bikes. TFP: Really? That's interesting. But are we signing anyone? DH: Yes. TFP: Great. Who is it? DH: I don't know ... what day it is. TFP: Got to go ... Gord is on the other line wanting a cuppa. DH: Okay. I like your hair. Witdreamboyknowsmorethantheeart.
Do it Andy. Cos you wanted to. http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/03112006/1/lucketti-snubs-tykes-loan-deal.html
RE: We're looking at younger targets aren't we ? Frickley used to have a manager called Brian Fiddler. Never saw him on a roof though. Or in front of a PC come to think of it.
Needs must Reid might be World Head Tennis Champion 2006 but its time to move aside and let some proper men have a go.
RE: Needs must How many of this team have played at this level before? Much to admire in AR wanting to give them a chance to prove themselves. But they've proved they're the 23rd best team in this league.
I'd be concerned if we didn't sign at LEAST 2 of the 4......... Because, let's face it, we need them without doubt AND we can offer the chance of playing first team football, without them having to up-root their family etc etc, which must be a big plus factor for the players............ Wright, Lucketti and Shipperley are just what we need without question, I'd also take Unsworth aswell.......
