I would encourage as many Reds fans to go to the cup match as possible and let's invite AFC fans to join us!!!

    Let it go bust then.

MK has done nothing to help Wimbledon FC. It's just tarnished the history of the club.

    Franchising football is absolute ******.

Start from the bottom, like everyone else has to.

And going bust would have helped more? Never. 2 clubs doing well, as opposed to none.

Anyway. I've spent enough time on another clubs forum. I hope to see you at the game supporting your club.

    Yes it would.

Better that ripping the heart of a football club out.

None of the fans wanted it. That's what a football club is about.

AFC Wimbledon would have come out of the club that went bust.

MK 'Dons' should never have existed.

And yeah, I'll probably be there if I can fight the sheer depressive nature of Milton Keynes.

I hope to see you going bust and moved to the Shetland Isles.

    You reds.

    What about Milton Keynes City?

They were already in Milton Keynes. Why didn't he take them over, and invest in them to become a league club?

Actually it would, proper Wimbledon fans would still have had AFC, whilst another club would have entered the league on their own merit.

I see we've all got over the initial euphoria of reuniting the fans then. It's a beautiful thing to watch

Or Kettering Town for that matter, founded in 1872 and desperately trying to keep their heads above water.

To deny Winkleman their Football League share, forcing him to stay in the Wimbledon area.

If they go bust, they go bust and AFC Wimbledon are formed anyway. And another club who earned the right to play in the Football League take their place.

Oh, or Wellingborough Town, founded in 1867 and when extant the sixth oldest club in the country, could have done with a bit of support before they had to fold in 2001-02. Wouldn't that have been around the same time the poor folk of MK were bemoaning their lack of a football club and wondering if they couldn't somehow acquire one?

Wouldn't be happy if BFC moved 60 miles away but that would be preferable to BFC becoming extant, - a fate that was on the point of happening to Wimbledon.

So you reckon that if Barnsley FC were relocated to ,say, Warrington and then renamed themselves Warrington Tykes you'd still support them. Suppose as long as they said they'd won the cup in 1912 and are the team that's been in the second tier of the league more than anyone else it would swing it for you. Oh aye.
