    According to Reuters

The body was found on the slip road!!!!! If that was indeed the case, why was it necessary to close the whole damn motorway?

I've just seen a photo of the M1 from this morning

Shocking stuff, whoever it was has gone off the needle eye footbridge just down from J37 and been hit by a load of trucks, his body has ended up almost under the Gilroyd bridge. When i say his body i mean the biggest bit left. There are pieces of him/her scattered all over the place, these look to have been marked out by the police. The carriageway is covered with skid marks from the lorries. Terrible.

every one of the HGV drivers should be forced to retake their test

if they failed to report that they had hit something on the motorway.

Take the scenic route matey !!

Don't get on at Haigh and go back via Woolley Edge, Staincross, Barugh Green etc !!

Here's me giving advice from 170 miles away !!!

Yes, I might just do that.

I'm sure my cousin would appreciate a visit.

As the guy who reported it said - he thought he'd hit a large dog. I assume that's what the other drivers thought.

RE: Anyone know the current traffic situation please?

I do that GF, on at Haigh and on at Dodworth - if you are still about and not set off yet, it's fine. Even if you have set off it's fine!
